- Smog pump delete and straight piping my 1995 f250 with a 7.5l 460. Now she's doesn't sound like no Toyota Prius and sounds like a truck!

Cut the air horns from your intake for more torque
I took the cat on my 1994 f350 and after a reb the engine I would get 4 foot flames 🔥 under my truck .then it just started to run really rich . And now it just been sitting on my driveway for the past 10 years
It probably used the heat from the cat to get a reading for the air/Fuel mixture.
I removed the smog pump on my '91 Ford F-250, 351 Windsor. Runs better and smoother but I had my check engine light came on. I guess I need to get some of those plugs for the vacuum lines. But it does still run good.
I dont mind a check engine light lol but yeah I just got the pluggs at or reillys just incase it decreases power.
Ive always wanted a single cab short bed 351w. Love that motor.
You need 75 ohm resistors fit the tab and tad connectors. Alphatube on UA-cam has a good video of it.

Dont know exactly what setup my 7.5 has. Looks like some mid 2000's glass packs, but whatever it is the truck sounds like a pratt & whitney when i start it
did the cruse controll still work?
Did you get any check engine lights doing this? Exhaust leaks from the pipes going to manifolds?
Your A/C and everything still works after deleting the air box?
Did you notice any power gains? Because the smog pump really only works on cold starts when the truck is running richer. Doesn't work really any other time. Anyway, horsepower and torque gains?

@@threize6840 theoretically it should because its less load on the motor but I feel like it gave it a little more torque according to my butt dyno lmao
@@bigantblogz4506 Yeah. But it's like an AC compressor pulley. Free wheels unless activated. Once activated it takes a toll on the engine. But it doesn't effect a big block as badly as a small block. Big block makes plenty of rotational force at low rpm compared to small blocks
@@threize6840 that makes sense but I really just got rid of it because I wanted to clean up my engine bay. Which is cleaned it up quite a bit and Ive been planning on removing the catalytic converter for a while to let that big block breathe.
@@threize6840 Also, because our trucks are pretty old then by removing it, you can avoid it from failing in the future especially when driving. Kind of like preventive maintenance. Ive had one lock up on the highway and it wasnt fun.
