Loved the video dedicated to us. I am pretty sure we have been to Yellowstone over 40 times.. and want to go again this year. ❤️❤️❤️ There is no place like Yellowstone...
Matt! I just absolutely LOVE this video. Obviously an educator by trade! It is just SO informative and insane that you got it all to squeeze into a 1 hour video. I tried to chop down my video and only managed to squeeze it down to 3 hours!!! I won’t even mention how much better your voice is than mine. I plan to contribute to your channel and help to fund your new endeavor as a full time UA-camr. I will also see if I can change the link in my video to this one. The current one I reference inspired me to make my own but he has over 1 million views on it. I think we can point a few your way now. ;-) You and Cheryl keep going and we can’t say thank you enough for all you do to make our vacations more enjoyable through education & tips. Moose
Oh wow, you are so kind!! 🙏 I know you sent us an email before, but I can’t find it. Can you please send us another email and include your address because we would like to send you a little present 🎁.
You really put a lot of time and effort into this guide/video, and it shows! This is going to help so many people, and is a lovely tribute to one of the best places on earth!!
Thank you VERY much for the video. We're headed out on a motorcycle ride from Boston in August going through the Shenandoah, Great Smokey Mountains, and across Tennessee, Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico, to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, through Bryce, and Zion, up into Grand Teton and Yellowstone, out to Cody and then up the Chief Joseph, and Beartooth, through Red Lodge and then down through the Big Horn, by Devil's Tower and into the Black Hills before heading home. We're staying at Granite Village when in the park and Cody later on. You've given us a great map of what to see and do. Thank you
We just returned from a week-long trip to Yellowstone and thanks to your videos (and TripAdvisor forums) we were so well-planned that we got to see everything we wanted and had a bonus day to visit Grand Teton. Your clear, common-sense advice helped make this a trip of a lifetime for us.
I have been fortunate enough to visit Yellowstone many times the last time was in 1988 where I had discovered a very cool restaurant which served pheasant, that dining experience was one of the best I have ever had. Unfortunately when I returned to Nebraska I heard on the news that Yellowstone was on fire and the restaurant was one of the many things lost to that fire. Thanks for the video it brought back a lot of fond memories.
Thank you so much for all your time and hard work on your guides! We're taking a 2 week Roadtrip in early June 2022 from Wisconsin and visiting several national parks and your guides have helped SO MUCH with our planning! Thank you!
Bravo 👌👏 fantastic video , thank you for your valuable Time making this content !! , We have a 5 & 6 year old planning our little family first Visit to Yellowstone this summer. You are truly appreciated!
To everyone who is reading this, you’re beautiful and an amazing person. Please exercise frequently and eat more fruits/veggies. I wish you all good health, great success, and everlasting happiness!!!!
Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for this great video. I’m going to have my family watch in preparation for our upcoming visit. Now I’d like to plan a trip just to Cody after watching this.
Fantastic. Since I don't know if I will or could go to yellow stone park. Limitations. Cheer up this is awesome thanks. I don't go to football games I watch football games. Thanks 😊 🙏 😊
Thanks so much!! I’m so excited for you to see Yellowstone! I saw that you have covered a lot of Missouri on your channel. We visited St Louis and Branson a few years ago.
@@WereintheRockies yep!! Missouri resident my whole life and I love it! I’m not exclusively a travel channel-we do all sorts of things over here 😂-but I love making Missouri content, especially exploring our state parks! I have a bucket list goal to visit all 55 of them! But I also have a goal of visiting all of the National Parks so I love your channel!! It’s so helpful! 💕 We live about an hour outside of St Louis-I grew up closer to Branson, so I’m very familiar with both areas!
Our trip to Yellowstone was a good and bad experience. First after getting off the flight at Salt Lake City airport and went to pick up our rental car at NU rental car near the airport, we were scammed by the rental company . The office woman told us the car we rented through Hotwire is not allowed to the state Wyoming where Yellowstone National park located unless we pay more and upgrade our compact car to 4 wheel drive SUV . The price of the upgrade is 410 dollars extra that is double the price of Hotwire listed price. So we are in their hostage because if we don’t pay it we don’t go. Finally we were left with no other choice but agree to pay. To make the story short we enjoyed the whole trip to Yellowstone and the surrounding areas liked The city of Jackson and Grand Teton park. My bad experience did not end there. On our trip back to San Francesco we purposely took the Amtrak instead of flying . That was a big mistake. We boarded the train depot at Salt Lake City ,about 4 hours after departing the station the freight train in front broke down and died on the only track for more 20 hours. So instead of only taking 17 hours trip it took us for a total of 37 hours on a coach seat with no shower or meals. The main complain on this trip is the car rental company NU Rental Company who scammed us 410 dollars . Watch out for this company even though it has the lowest bid in the first sign but you will pay much more in the end.
Thanks Matt. Your guide was a great help during our 2021 visit to Yellowstone. We are going back this year and can’t wait. Thank you for your channel and your expertise. Mike and Jane Previti From Solomon’s Md
I worked three summers in Yellowstone. Mammoth Hot Springs in 85, Old Faithful area in 91, and Grant Village in 95. Grant Village is also known as The Mistake on the Lake. Due to its location. The marina they tried to build there was wrecked by the first big winter storm after it was built. Plus it seems bears like that area also. It does have a very nice Hamilton General Store and a very nice Visitors center. I really need to get back up there next year.
your travels are great, we are planning on going on a trip this summer from RI to grand canyon to Zion then to Yellowstone, Cody ,Henry ford museum Niagara falls an home about 7200 miles for. 5 weeks. You guys do a great job.
Matt said 95% chance of seeing a moose. He practically promised me! It was my 3rd try and publicly stated I would change my channel to Goose Anderson Productions, if I didn’t see one. I promised $100 if I did. I am a man of my word, proud to keep the name Moose, and glad to help Matt & Cheryl feed those kids! 😂@@WereintheRockies
I wish you'd have shown the new terrace that is being built in Mammoth. Yes, Yellowstone is HUGE. I worked there three summers and didn't even come close to seeing it all. I will get back there in 23, I just hope all the roads are open. What, no tour of Canyon Village, or a mention of Tower?
You are KILLING my own UA-cam video! Love you guys! Keep it up. You have been a huge help to many vacationers who can’t afford to make a mistake or miss something. Thanks so much for all both of you do.
Really glad I found your channel and very appreciative. I motorcycle camped in Yellowstone in 2015 and will be returning this July with my wife for her first visit. Do you know what the scoop is presently on being able to hike to the peak of Mt Washburn or of a resource that will inform me? It was one of the many things I missed last trip and hope not to this time around.
These videos are incredible, Thankyou. I am bringing my parents over from Cornwall for our dream trip in September but I see that the cookout ends by the time we arrive-can you recommend anything else like this? With riding/cowboy chats etc? Thankyou
What a wonderful trip you have planned! You will love Yellowstone. September is a great time to come but unfortunately, most the activities like this end the beginning of September.
Hi Matt, I am wondering if it is okay to hike if it is raining in Yellowstone or Grand Teton. Have you done it before and do you have any tips on what to do when the weather is poor? Great video! Thanks for all of your hard work.
I wouldn't advise hiking when it is raining. The ground gets really muddy and the storms can be pretty extreme. If the weather is poor, you can wear a poncho and take and umbrella and view geysers from the boardwalks. You can also view waterfalls. All of those will keep you relatively close to your car incase the weather takes a turn for the worse.
