My grandfather and his son ,my uncle, were both cabinet makers and carpenters. They both built their own houses and furniture to go in them. God bless the old builders. Back in the 1920's when you had to work with your hands.

As for bent doors: about 40 years ago I had finished two sliding doors, app. 1000 x 2400 mm wide.
They had, due to the used timber, both a hollow of approximately 20 milimeters.
It was summer, so I laid them outdoors on the lawn in the sun with te hollow side on the lawn, the upper side facing the sun.
They started bending the other way, and when they had a little hollow in the side facing the sun I took them indoor to even out.
Of course the hollow on te backside returned but I gained a few millimeters, so I started over.
After 3 or 4 “treatments” they were perfectly flat.
When we years later renovated the house and took out the doors, they still were perfectly flat.

My grandparents bought a house at the beach and everything that no longer fit in the city house ended up at the beach house. A couple of things were two cabinets similar to this one. Both of them were made of wood, and one of them had a mirror on one of the doors that was so old that the upper and sides of the mirror were fading. Many years later, the house was sold with all the furniture. I wish someone would have looked at the cabinets as a treasure. I am glad you were able to restore this one that I am sure will be loved for many years to come and may become a heirloom to the owner's family. Good job as usual. Blessings. 😊
