    I am a member and Insider of the Salt Strong Fishing Club and Their lures produce. Your hook up ratio is going to be diminished with the single hooks, switching to treble will increase your hooks ups but there are also disadvantages to treble hooks just like single hooks. One word of advice and you probably realize it now but never, never use braided line that has a knot in it. I know it's a pain to retie standing in waist deep water but I have lost some nice fish by not retying. Glad you got the lure back and thanks for testing the Skinny Lipper.👍👍
    P.S subbed you up!!

      Just subscribed to yours as well!! Appreciate the advice and Salt Strong lures are definitely something to have in your arsenal! One of the downfall of using spinning gear is those wind knots but I will keep that in mind cuz I don’t want to lose that BIG ONE!

    I saw you out there the morning you recorded this. My son and I were on the kayaks. Only caught 3 undersized trout between us, I also had a lot of bites and then could'nt get a hookset. If I had known it was you I would have come over and introduced myself. Big fan of your channel! There wer 4 or 5 dolphins on the south side chasing fish.

    I watched and you lost me when you first said it didn't have any rattles, then you shook it and said OH yes it does, too many negative comments at first; lure works just fine and maybe the other end of the pole needs adjusting or correcting, lol
    You must know by now that fishing is tough and no one lure is going to always produce, the fish are the KINGS out there and however you look at it they will let you know when they're actively feeding, if not that one type of lure maybe they're looking for something else to eat, the key factor is find the fish, find out what they're feeding on and mimic that type of food, just your basic fishing skill here, DUDE!

    Any lure will catch fish when they are biting. Only time will tell if a particular lure catches them consistently when others won’t. You can’t get that learned in a single trip.
    Of course most baits are designed to catch fishermen by the back pocket.

    • @tnafishing7
      @tnafishing7  Рік тому

      Geoff thanks for watching and I do agree with you 100%. When the bite’s on 🔥 they will bite just about anything. MANY lures are marketed to hook the fisherman! I try a lot of different lures but only very few make the cut. I definitely will be keeping this one and try on future trips!
