There are just enough issues with her to keep me entertained but nothing that'll drain my wallet.
Step one of doing this job is removing that bolt at 6:20. do NOT do anything until you have that bolt completely removed. Dont even remove the damn lug nuts.
Here's the thing, when a auto has a low tire it spins the diff pin non stop. Making it hot and wear the bore, eventually it comes out to bust the case. Ford ranger differential are known for this also.
I have two questions concerning the 2005 Scion xB transmission. I understand from a transmission re-seller that there are two versions of the Scion xB Manual transmissions (Japan and Mexico). Barring looking at the VIN, is the transmission have any part numbers that can identify if I have a Japan or Mexico version? Second question is do you have any re-seller that you can recommend that sells re-man transmissions? Sacramento shops quoting about $900.
So the bolt under the car on that mount that’s hard to get too it’s stripped so no sure what else to do . Car been sitting for a month lol that’s all I need to remove the transmission fml

you guys worked way to hard on this one you missed a lot of short cut procedures but i admire your effort ! thumbs up !

I've worked on Japan cars since 1969 and just now discovered I haven't been taking off near enough parts. Then again I'm from a different time

I’m not sure how to see what kind it is, but this one is a JPN. This one ran bout $600

maybe get a saws-all and cut the mount off and just get a new mount
Like Dan Dan said, if there’s an obstacle just remove it. Since you’re under there doing the work it doesn’t hurt to replace what you can.
