I wish my dad had taught me the language, it is so hard at 55 and without him. He died in July 89 so never got to see his country free. There is a lot of heritage to be proud off... That said, my 6 year grand-daughter sat through the whole video open mouth and,for once, was lost for words. Nice and clearly filmed. You can see it all. Bravo!

My dad came to the England in 1947 as a refugee. Because of the situation then he brought us up as English. Lost him in 89. Just wish he could see how the world has changed. He hid his culture & language from us; my biggest regret. Ukraine is now free. What would he think now? This will be shown to his great-grandchildren as I strive to make up for what I never got. Ukrainian dance is very physical. It requires strong bones and muscle to dance this. We also have our own dance in the Phil's. but their dance is very exhaustive. On the other hand I like their dance very much. The costume , the execution ,the vibrancy , it is truly beautiful. Love it much.
