The fact people go to war and come back without a scratch then you can be brought up on a rough council estate get shot stabbed and nearly killed or get killed. A lovely African lady moved from africa to England to give her two boys a better way of life. She moved here and both of her sons were murdered on the streets of london. People underestimate the uk sometimes its just better the devil you know then the devil you dont. Come from much worse poverty and war zones yet come to a country thats a better way of life and it ends up be worse for her because she took her sons from a warzone just to be led into a different type of warzone its such a shame.

There’s always been beef within hackney. I grew up in stokey/upper Clapton. Lots of Hackney boys stabbing each other. Probably same thing with Tottenham. My parents sent us to Enfield to go secondary school.

London in the '90s and '00s was wild. It had a crazy vibe but was also more dangerous. Gentrification has made it safer, but it doesn't have the same vibe it used to.

I grew up in the East End of London in the 70s from The Isle Of dogs to Stepney ran around the streets with my peoples in Bethnal Green, Bow, Mile End, Roman Road and Hackney. New everyone in every ends. To this day I have no comprehension of why these kids fight over a post code that none of their parents own property in.

There was no "Hackney / Tottenham beef"... The beef was between lost youts from both ends!!!
Big man ting g, it was beef with both sides eventually cause it got so peak we couldn't rave in each others ends even if you wasn't actually a part of the beef.
I remember a night in palace pavilion & the whole club split in half out of nowhere when everyone was raving, 1 half Hackney & 1 half Tottenham, Alize bottles started flying and then nuff babylon shut it down real quick outside. and remember, this was the younger age groups from both sides that wasn't even involved in the beef but it went down a generation including in jail, it wasn't as bad as the older heads but still was a no go zone to rave on both sides for a hot minute.
