So happy this guy has told his story. As a fellow Hackney guy from the same era, I definitely knew his name just for being good in most estates. The perspective and smart takes he brought to this interview as well as the honesty, is refreshing. But more importantly, the work he is doing now. Legendary.

The reason why basketball hasn’t popped off in the Uk is because they don’t give it Financial backing, like football, like rugby etc. There is no opportunity for basketball in the UK you have to go overseas.
True if your a 15 year old kid in East London where do you go to play competitive weekly basketball? Coaching in the UK is poor facilities are poor
In the UK we need to bridge the gap ourselves. Invite Coaches and players over. Get them to invest etc. Send players over there too. Summer Schools etc
It's about interest, coaching isn't there for most because the interest isn't there. Facilities are there, every sports hall has a basketball court but people generally would rather kick a football around

No disrespect Big Ego, but you need to improve your questioning skills eg you ask a question then you answer it for them. This is frustrating to watch. Stop giving your guests options. Watch James English and how he interviews, he just lets his guess speak without interrupting.

I don’t think it’s bad the way he does it atm tbh. He controls the direction of the interview to go through the phases of their early years till the present plus it stops the guest from just waffling on topics otherwise these would just be too long.
I disagree. He asks the same basic closed questions. Interrupts the guest by giving them a, b, c, d options.. example was you:
a) a good kid
b) into sports
c) a naughty kid.
