Glad they didn't try to mess them up with too much stuff as in ketchup, mustard or pickles. I know lots of folks like that stuff but I prefer my burgers relatively pure although I do like the lettuce and tomatoes. And those tomatoes looked really good.

English is also a mandatory taught subject in the schools (used to be French), so their proficiency in English is not really unusual (for younger people). Also being in Saigon, I doubt that they've never seen a hamburger before, although the title could be splitting hairs in that they've never eaten a CHEESE burger before.

Theres at least 10 Vietnamese restaurants in my county , all usually busy with locals loving it . Jefferson County, Texas . Vietnamese culture is loved here . So seeing American foods in Vietnam is not surprising . Vietnam is an emerging , creative culture that stands to become globally powerful through thinking way outside the box .

For some reason, all fast food chains in Vietnam like McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, Dominoes pizza, etc. all carry fried chicken. Probably something for the kids there that they can eat if they're not comfortable with American fastfoods.
depends what was his original investment on those franchises he owns? he may own them n still actually paying mcdonalds off still... and since they are oversea's he prolly have to pay for importing products... he might make 20k or so per store (maybe less) but thats still huge money for vietnam terms.. american terms not so much

could be work attitude and getting fired is easier. I loved the mcds I had in Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Things tasted fresh, there were different or unique items to the menu and best of all, the original fried pies but with different fillings~ I had mcd in Melbourne too,but I don't remember anything except the inside looked nice and clean
Because in the USA they fry up the burgers all in one place (probably done on an assembly line, by robots), they then flash freeze them and then ship them to the restaurants which microwave them as they are ordered. In most other countries they cook them fresh on a grill, minutes before you eat them. The way it should be.
IN MY VIEW I fast forward the video to the end to see the girls RESPONSE eating the hamburger because that is what you showed first. The hamburger made for them was amazing!
it's so important to be good in English there. Most companies now value fluency in english. Even universities are offering courses in english now to get international credits.

Why is it that McDonald’s in other countries besides the US always make their food presentable.

could be work attitude and getting fired is easier. I loved the mcds I had in Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Things tasted fresh, there were different or unique items to the menu and best of all, the original fried pies but with different fillings~ I had mcd in Melbourne too,but I don't remember anything except the inside looked nice and clean

Because in the USA they fry up the burgers all in one place (probably done on an assembly line, by robots), they then flash freeze them and then ship them to the restaurants which microwave them as they are ordered. In most other countries they cook them fresh on a grill, minutes before you eat them. The way it should be.

@@RuqiRevolt you could wrap half the sushi burger with seaweed, i usually unwrap a burger half way when im not sitting down to eat it. that way it still looks like a burger and it would be easier to handle.
