As a girl who's never dealt with cars before, I was so nervous about replacing my headlights that I put it off for six months. But I found your video and tried it this afternoon, got the job done in 10 minutes and now I feel way more confident. Thank you for these easy-to instructions!
Your so welcome glad I could help out . An that's awesome
6 months? Well, i praise your efforts if things need done for safety you should take care of things sooner or ask some help.
Guuurrrrrllll I feel the same way and I’m a man!!! 😂🙈
Think of yourself as a human being. All do it yourself projects start with butterflies in our stomach. But when it's done, it feels good doesn't it? Good luck 👍
You can do anything!!
I never thought I could repair anything in the car for 5 minutes. Mine is on the opposite side but your instruction is easy to understand. Thank you.
Your welcome glad I could help out . Anytime!
Much better than the other Accord headlight videos; actually shows the bulb in the housing, the connector, etc. Nice.
Your welcome I'm glad I could help out more .
Awesome and simple. this is the first thing Ive done to my car completely by myself. Im about to test these new lights out tonight.
Btw if you’re having trouble getting the clip off. Don’t pull straight down on it. Once you unlock it, strart wiggling it left and right and twisting a bit. I tried to push it out of place and it wouldn’t budge. Twisting helped me immensely, also you don’t need to take the whole batter off to do this
Do you have small hands? No way I can fit my hand without taking it off haha
Sir you did good explaining and visually showing a minor task. The lighting was good too lol
Thanks for this. You saved me a trip to my mechanic. And what a feeling of accomplishment :) !
No problem glad I could help
Thank you. I've been having my local auto store replace the headlight bulbs up until yesterday when they said they don't do it anymore. This video helped me do it myself.
That sucks . Glad to have helped out in some way thanks for watching
Thank you very much bud...only took me 5 minutes. God bless you.
Your so welcome glad I could help!
Good job! Straight and to the point! Keep posting!

Your welcome I'm glad I could help . Thanks for watching 🛠
Glad to see you pointed out which light is which and for that I subbed and liked much appreciated, God Bless
Hey no problem glad to helped out!
Got everything changed out thanks to your video! It was on my wife's 07. The crazy thing is any time she would have it serviced they said the lights checked out as good. The lights looked bad and now her brights work again too just from me getting out there and doing it myself. I appreciate you and am now a new subscriber.
Your welcome buddy glad I could help out Anytime!
Thanks for going through the trouble of recording this! Very helpful video
Glad I could help out , thanks for watching

Thanks for clarifying between the low beam and high beam. Thankfully mine was passenger side so super easy! 👌
No problem glad I could help in some way!

Took all of 3 minutes to replace the passenger side bulb, thanks for the video!
Awesome , no problem and thanks for Watching!
Thank you very much! I was in a fret that I was about to break some part of it, but turns out I just had to pull really really hard on the wire assembly. You were a big help.
Thanks and you are very welcome glad to help out .
Thanks for the vid. That car looks good for its age !! I have an '03 and it has seen better days!
Your welcome buddy glad could help out . I actually traded this car in few months back and now own 06 honda pilot
Just do the work right and it will definitely work

Your welcome man so glad I could help . Thanks for watching 🛠
Thank you for posting this.
Your welcome no problem glad I could help out!
I just replaced my bulbs with hid lights. I did it different than the way in the video. I went threw the wheel well. Turned the wheel all the way over. Than pop out the plastic well cover you will see the lights. Put your hand in and take out the bulb it will take you about 10 minutes each side. The way its done in this video you will definitely be able to see better and it's more comfortable. But if you wanna save time try going threw the wheel well
Good idea but wheel well access does not work with my 2004 V6 model with the Honda sports package. It was terribly difficult from the top side with battery out. Hopefully next time it'll work better.
@@strumlead8741 I was working on a 4 cylinder so for me it was easier that way. But yeah I can definitely see a v6 model having a problem going threw the wheel wells way to tight
So very thankful to you for sharing this video it sure made changing our Honda headlight bulb easy. You gave us everything we needed to know. Kudo's
Your very welcome glad to help out .
Just want to make sure you have your code to reset your radio and clock. At least in my 07 you have to do that if you disconnect the battery.
Yes all these 03-08 An so on have that .
Very helpful! Thank you!
Your Welcome Glad I Could Help Out
So helpful! Thank you.
No Problem Glad I could help out . Thanks for watching
Good camera work. Thanks
Thanks!
Awesome tutorial! Worked flawlessly on my '03 Accord.
Thanks man an glad I could help out. Anytime!
Thank you so much sir I thought it was going to be more difficult ❤
Your welcome I'm glad I could help out
Radical Dude!
Very helpful! Thankyou:)
Your welcome I'm glad I could help out! Anytime
Thank you for this!
No problem glad could help out .
Thank you. 👍🏻
Keep it up my man
No problem will do . Thanks for watching hoped it helped you out 🛠
Good stuff.
Subscribed.
Thanks
Nice 1! the only thing that sucks about disconnecting the battery is having to do the idle relearn procedure again!
Mine didn't do that part hmm odd but thanks for watching glad could help . 🛠
A good word of advice... Unscrew the light first, then take the wiring harness off. Other than that, thanks for the vid!
Yeah can do that too . Glad to help thanks for watching
Thank you so much for this tip. I was getting so angry bc my connector was seized and i couldn't undo it but i took the bulb out then went to town
Yeah they aren't like that down this way. They install bulbs an batterys an stuff like that here , find that strange an sounds like they just didn't wanna do it
@Enjoy Life, be humble💜 I try to just wear some latex or nitrile gloves when I'm working with bulbs, that way you don't have to worry about touching them! Some of those automotive store people can pick and choose what they do depending on the situation... Like, they replace wipers, but wouldn't do it for me when it was raining 🙄😜
@@kylerscharton5874 did ya get it buddy?
Good job
This was very helpful, thanks for posting. I do think the battery has to come out. The plastic shielding thing comes out, and I MIGHT have gotten the high beam changed that way, but the battery has to come out for the low beam bulb. Leaving the battery in would make it way harder than it has to be.
Awesome I'm glad I could help out
Time to replace the brights. I don't recall any of the four bulbs coming out easy, but maybe it was just the passenger side that was difficult (?). (I had the dealer replace the passenger side low beam, which would not budge; I managed after a few hours to get the high beam swapped out (wouldn't budge either, had to loosen the screws etc, but at least I didn't have to crawl under the car for it)). Tried twisting the passenger side high beam holder yesterday and again it's frozen solid… I'll be starting with the driver/battery side…
Edit: Actually got this done today. Both high beams had indeed burnt out. Had to loosen one/three of the screws to twist the light and socket out from the car on the passenger/driver side respectively. And prying the passenger side bulb assembly out wasn't as bad as it was for the driver side, perhaps because I'd done it before, so used a screwdriver to hold the latch down enough to get the bulb loose then pushed on each side of the socket with the screwdriver back and forth to get it loose (holding the bulb assembly tight with some vice grips). The driver side needed a little help, wd40 seemed to take care of that, but otherwise a similar endeavor (besides the battery and that pipe cover part). So not as bad on the passenger side as the first time, and I can't seem to recall whether I've actually done the driver side high beam (or low beam) before. Also tightened those screws back up by the way, once the bulbs were back in place.
Ty!!!!!!!
You don't have to take out the battery. That plastic shielding between the battery and the front of the car pops off. One or two plastic pop up fasteners and then unseat the o-ring thing (I don't know what it's called).
I think I would rather take out the battery, even then I had a hard enough time reaching everything.
Thank you! 🙏
Your Welcome Glad I was able to help
Thank you!
You bet! , glad I could out
You make that look so easy! I can’t even get my hand in there to grab it right! The clip isn’t budging, I’m afraid if I pull on the wire it’ll break off from the clip.
I have a whole new appreciation for mechanics right now!!!
Yeah it's a bit tricky but also small hands help alot lol .
I watched another video that suggested a lubricant spray, and that did the trick. So grateful for UA-cam!
Thanks for the tutorial. Battery is on my driver's side so I didn't need to remove it.:) some lady gave me 20 bucks while I changed it because my life is so sad. Lol
Awesome glad I can help out!
Thank you for the video, on a side note, who took care of this car to look brand new while 14 years old?! I’m impressed!!!!
This car I actually bought from a used dealership an but later on traded it in for a 06 Honda pilot 4×4 3.5v6 that is on the channel. Mainly because the trans started to slip an ac was going out so i cut my losses an been best choise I've made so far .
But in the two years that I own that car I took very good care of it keeping it clean and waxing and polishing the car!
Sweet uploads!
Thanks . 🛠
Great video but just a heads up for others, I believe you have the low beam and high beam bulbs mixed up. According to Auto Zone’s site, “The 2007 Honda Accord headlight bulbs are either 9006 for low beam or 9005 for high beam.” Just thought I’d share for others who are replacing the bulbs.
Thanks
Had to remove the intake cover but it worked!
Glad I could help out in some way . Thanks for watching
Thank you
Your welcome glad I could help out
This is insane! Coming from the 98-02 Accord headlight bulb replacement which requires no tools, this pisses me off. You gotta take the battery out?? Honda knew exactly what they were doing, making this way more difficult. So much for "progress."
Yeah I will agree an it only gets worse as vehicles get newer they change things that should have never been changed. I will say some Honda's have a access panel on the inside of the wheel well that you remove and you can get your hand in there to change the bulb but mine did not actually have that so I had to take battery out
Thank you! I kept trying to replace the high beam one. I feel like an idiot lol
😆 lol it's all good . Glad it's fixed an I helped out
You could’ve just remove the air intake cover and reach the bulb there.
I had no problem replacing my passenger-side bulb but the driver's side bulb was stuck and I could not budge it. If you turn the front wheel to the left and remove a few of the front wheel well cover screws along the front, you are able to reach your hand inside and access the driver's side bulb. I now wished I'd done that instead of disconnecting the battery and looking for the radio code.
🛠 thanks for tip
Wow 3.0, mine 2.4 thanks for nice video
Oh yes the 3.0vtec and she's pretty quick for stock lol I love the car will get up to 60 in no time . But thanks for watching glad hoped helped u out . 🛠
Hey to clean the cover white toothpaste will do the job l did it and it works
It looked easy enough until I realized that my hand had to fit like a tetris block with little room to wiggle the plug down. Thanks for the video
Yeah very tight space on these cars to access the bulbs. Glad I could help in some way thanks for watching
You do not have to take the battery out. You go under the wheel well.
My bulb won’t budge. Wont unscrew and cant disconnect wire even with popping the clip
Hey CD, do you have to stick with the 9006 halogen or can you put in an LED without some kind of change out kit? I ordered the 9006 but lots of people say it only lasts maybe 2 years vs 10+ years on the old yellow bulb. Thank you.
Depends if it's for your vehicle it should just plug in wothout any type of wiring harness or adapter but like I said it just depends on what type of headlight you bought . I've seen alot that just plug in like the stock yellow type bulbs
Do you have any tips on how to unhook the bulb. I’m having trouble depressing the tab and pulling down at the same time without my hands running out of room
Take like a flat head screwdriver and push that tab to unlock the connector then u should be able to pull it down and out and then turn the bulb and it will come out but that should work I've done that in past with certain vehicles
Matthew Hewitt Watch the video very carefully if it wasn’t enough for you then watch a different vid coz they’re plenty of videos on UA-cam that Might help you find the right one and if not clean your eyes with hot water and salt maybe some jalapeño and Hopefully you’ll be able to do it Or get the job done just kidding lol
I want to replace my both headlight cover and bulb man. The cover is so bad that the light barely comes out and also I want to change the bulb to white light from yellow light. Idk why but now my high beam doesn't work and it's so hard to drive at night. So please if you have any link for these two things tell me. Thank you! Mine is also Accord 07
You'll have to replace the hole headlight assemblies . You can't just do the outside cover end part of the headlight assembly that doesn't come off , now I've cleaned them really good an it will last a while.
As for the different bulbs Walmart carries better bulbs for better light cause I have a customer that wanted the same thing an they are a bright white blueish color but they actually picked up a set from AutoZone
Do you guys now what is the name of the part small box next to battery?? Because i need it. Thanks you guys
Hmm not exactly sure on that . It's part of the air box to keep water or anything out of it is really all it's for but there has been other honda just like this that worked on and never had issues without that piece
It’s a fuse block
On the drivers side no need for battery removal, if the instructions in
the owners manual are followed it's done in less than 5 minutes.
How?
Some vehicles have a access panel inside the wheel well to get the bulb out.
You mentioned you have a video to replace entire light assembly. Cant find it on your channel. do you have a link? Also what did you pay for it at your junkyard?
Um well I guess apparently I forgot to show that I've repaired that part on this car when I replace the whole headlight assembly you have to remove the whole front bumper in order to get it out
Could you spray that stuff with led lights connected to the battery
I honestly don't remember what stuff I used that your asking about
3:09 getting that clip off was the hardest part for me, and that part of the video was skipped. Many videos do this. Without a hands-free camera, you cannot make a good guide.
I have a 2004 Accord and I thought I had to take the front wheel off and remove part of the wheel well cover to gain access.
Yeah u can go that way and get the bulb out . 2 different ways
You don't have to take off the wheel. Just remove the wheel cover. Pop the clips off, pull the cover back.
@@greenmeaniebandits Like as if no clips will break when you start doing that.
@@spaceghost8995 I never had any clips break while doing that
Do you know where is the fog lamp relay for this car. My fog lamp isnt working
Have you confirmed it's not a bad bulb . And they should be with the rest of the fuzes there is 1 set under the hood I believe it was and other is inside car on driver side floor
Is this the same procedure for a Honda Inspire 2005?
Honda inspire I've never heard of that vehicle
Out of curiosity why do you have to remove the battery if the head light is on the other side of the car? Just a safety precaution?
I replaced the bulb on the driver side and the battery needed to be removed to get in there to replaced that one bulb . Some vehicles have a access panel on inside wheel well to get to bulbs cause of the engine bay being so tight however this one didn't have that so I had to go under the hood to get to that bulb
Are these brighter than originals? My headlights are like candles
Yeah alot better . I can't remember if was brighter or not been so long ago plus I sold the car while back .
Is it common to have to reboot the system after reconnecting the battery.
Yes
Just tried taking a friends out but they will not twist out. When looking at the bulb there are 3 screws that it looks like are holding the bulbs in.
Is this normal?
What year is yours an it shouldn't have any screws holding the bulb in . It's only suppsed to turn counterclockwise and then the ball should come right out sometimes you have to push in when you're doing that because of the little seal
A neighbor's accord has those three screws but they are NOT holding it down. I also thought it was strange
Driver side*
Where did you get the grill and will it fit a 06 accord?
Not sure but it's stock on this model
@@KnuckleHeadGarage27 👍
Might as well put led bulbs so we don’t have to keep removing the battery!
Lol
because led bulbs last longer, or doesnt ever burn out?
Did you say the passenger side headlight? Is that right side steering?
When looking at the car in front the driver side is the right side an passanger side is the left . But if your sitting in the driver seat than it's the other way
I'm just replacing the the low beam and the high beam so why are. You taken the battery out
Driver side the battery is in the way . Or some have a access cover inside the fender well that pops out
I have 2007 2.4 V4 , can I swap it with 3.0 v6?
You would need alot parts from another vehicle that had the 3.0v6. it can't just be swapped
So. I watched this video thinking YOU KNEW what you were talking about. Pulled the battery to replace the headlight bulbs. Started the vehicle to reset the radio and OOOOPS, I need a code which is NOT in the nice little Honda manual holder with all the books for the car. As I was looking through the manual hoping someone wrote the code in the book, what did I find??????
A whole section on replace various bulbs in the vehicle. AND it clearly says to pull the inner fender liner so you DON’T have to pull the battery.
Also you could have added a warning at the beginning of the video like. “ OH,BY THE WAY, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RADIO RESET CODE BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE BATTERY”
Now I have to contact Honda for the code, who I think has the WORST service reviews around.
THANKS
amzn.to/2XaJKAP Here is a Link to the headlight bulbs for this fix on Amazon
Is it bad to touch the battery?
Touch the terminals with your hands ? No it won't shock u or anything
I followed the video but now my engine light turned on, what do I do ?
Well what's the code . Anything u did to the headlight didn't or isn't wouldn't affect the check engine light or make it come on . That's something else
Yeah that seems like and unrelated issue
The v6 is sohc cam. the 4cylinder is dohc vtec.....
Yeah , this car was the 3.0 v6 vtec
Never put a battery directly on the concrete. Use wood block. You don’t want to ground out your battery
That's not how that works
That was back when batteries case were made out of wood and had glass cells in them
I cannot get the tab apart neither.
Even Tried to twist the bulb out first, won't even budge.
Hmm . Could got dirt some how in there
The seal where bulb goes to keep water out dirt could have swelled up and is why can't twist the bulb out . Takes more of forse to get it out . Can go threw the wheel weel to get it out
I bought a bulb thinking this would be easy but it seems very hard
Oh not at all seems it but pretty easy tho and haven small hands lol
But how do I do it for the other side??
same way as the other one
did u need the radio code after this
after removing the battery with the car off*
@@benatryl5194 yes you will to have the radio back after or anytime the battery is disconnected
CD'S Automotive & Repair i’m pretty sure if you take the battery out with the car running it doesn’t ask for radio code after
thank you
@@benatryl5194 I most definitely do not recommend doing that at all could do alot damage to it . The computer or electrical system now days vehicles and cars have way too many electronics and you can't do that anymore like you used to be able to .
Both my high beams went out.
Hmm odd but hope I helped in some way
Ugh, I wish I could just open the hood, reach in and change the bulb without tools lol.
What tools did you see other than those needed to get the battery out? If that is what you mean, just make sure to only burn out the passenger side headlight bulbs. ;)
Not sure if I trust this he says he is changing the passenger side lightbulb but he points to the driver side 🤔
Lol yeah I was in a rush that day an wasn't thinking when I said that. However hope it helped for whatever you was needing!
