Thanks so much Craig for the rectangle! I make blankets to donate and the child size and up they want rectangle blankets. I've made plenty of your original pattern for baby size, they turned out really nice. Really enjoy your chats with Rose, you guys are something else! So fun!! 🙂
OMG THANK YOU!!!! and fot the timestamps I can't tell you how much they help this old lady!! after all this time I still find it to difficult to crochet in front o f the computer. YOU ARE LOVED!! GOOD health and blessings from sunny california love youkaren
Just want to thank you for taking the time in figuring out how to make it on the rectangular version. I really like how easy it is to make. This will be in my repertoire of blankets to make.
Thank you! I have made the square which way filet (one of my first projects) and I started thinking immediately about what yarn I would use when I saw you had created a rectangular version!!😁 Love your teaching style!
Thank you Soo much for being you. I like how you explained everything in details. I’m left handed and have been making blankets over the years for donations. I made the lace diamonds blanket 30 rows + 2 border rows. Now I’m working on the rectangular which way filet blanket. Thank you so much for these, looking forward to trying MANY more from you. I pray God will continue to Bless you and your knowledge of crochet.
I’ve made the square version multiple times. A fabulous go-to pattern and now I’m delighted to find it in a rectangular version. Whoo hoo. Thank you 🧶👏🏼
I simply love this tutorial. I love the original filet blanket, it’s my go to for a quick blanket. I’m going to do this version see if I like it as well 🥰 thank You for all your hard work bringing us these wonderful tutorials.
Ok. Well I was waiting to buy some yarn for this project, when an unopened package of Teal Green, Premier "Lake" Wool Select, jumped out at me from my stash! Just finished your tutorial and I am ❤'ing it! Thank you for your on "autopilot", in depth, thorough tutorial. As always it was super helpful.
Thank you for doing the math. I am up to row 9 and on my second colour. Was given three balls of yarn and just had to start on something. This pattern won the toss. 🙂
Using some Herrschners Antiquity yarn in the colors Plum in the center and Chromatic on the outer rounds. In my mind it looks pretty awesome but I have yet to see the finished outcome. Since it works up pretty fast it shouldn't be too long before it is finished. Thanks for the time you devote to doing all these tutorials. I greatly appreciate all you do for all of us yarnivoirs.
Hello Craig, i'm not doing a blanket as i already have 3 blanket wips, but what i am doing is using your base design to make my own fingerless gloves, I'm trialling them out today and hope it looks ok when finished! These will be showcased on Laura's yarntalk channel in the next week or 2 or when the which way filet challenge has ended! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for this pattern. And all the work you put in your videos for us. I skipped the first two rounds and started with the 3 round on the long side. Maybe you want to give that a try. Thank you again
Thank you for the pattern. I'm trying the which way filet with an Anniversary Cake. Liking it but not loving it. Hopefully I will love it after it gets bigger
Could you or someone tell me how large this ends up with the amount of yarn you used? My oldest three grandsons are well over 6 feet and I need to make it so that it is large enough for them to at least use it as a cover while watching tv if not for a blanket
How do you adjust the starting chains to get a narrower and longer rectangle? What is the finished size of the blanket in the tutorial? Is there a formula to determine desired finished size?
I have just now started making this for a dear friend of mine. So far, I have made three sets of Rows 3 and 4, and all is going swimmingly. Thank you for such clear slow instructions so that we all can work along with you to get the hang of it.
I love your videos they are easy to.follow .Can you please do a video on planned colour pooling ( not review ) i would love to learn actual.pooling and how to attempt it
First regtangle blanket almost finished! Used Mandala ( unicorn color) gorgeous thank you again! What would be the stitch multiple to make it longer?? I've given it alot of thought but I'm not smart enough to figure it out . 15 chains is perfeft for baby size. I want to make a bed size. Lov e from s unny california happy holidays
I was wondering the same thing. I made mine longer by adding multiples of 8 to the chain. It will add a set of six and two chain spaces. I added two multiples of 8 and it is looking good! I like this so much better than a rectangular virus blanket. It really looks nice.
Thank you so much for making this pattern in a rectangular version! I was wondering if you could kindly tell me what kind of hook you are using? I am kind of in love with it... I LOVE bamboo & wood hooks but so many I have purchased from Amazon are NOT smooth and snag the yarn; yours looks like it is smoothed/sanded perfectly and the shape of the head of the hook is perfect as well - not too pointy, not overly rounded, looks comfortable to hold too, just ideal all around. Thank you for the review of Pound of Love yarn as well, I have not tried it yet. Best wishes
Hi Fiber Spider. thank you again for these amazing tutorials. I´m planning to do it! I love your hook. Would you please tell me where did you get it? Best wishes to you and your family.
hey master spider. thank you it looks great. i really like rectangle blankets so it is much appreciated... i have two questions for you. 1. what is the difference between the following corners, 1dc ch2 1dc and 2dc ch3 2dc? couldnt find the answer... 2. well... not a question. i think im gonna try to make mine a bit more rectangulary. i will probably use lions brand mandala yarn and a smaller hook. lots of love, nirjharo
I do like this pattern. 😊 I am using Red Heart super saver ombre in Green Apple. I would love to share a photo for you. But I don't use Instagram and you don't seem to check Facebook ❤
Thanks so much Craig for the rectangle! I make blankets to donate and the child size and up they want rectangle blankets. I've made plenty of your original pattern for baby size, they turned out really nice. Really enjoy your chats with Rose, you guys are something else! So fun!! 🙂

Sooo excited for this!! I've tried everything to make a rectangle myself and could not puzzle it out. Hero to the rescue!!
I prefer rectangle blankets. I'm so happy you made this! Thanks Fiber Spider!!

Thank you, Craig. I've seen many people asking for a rectangular version

Oh thank you so much! I have made a few of your Which Way Filet's. The rectangle is an awesome addition.

To make a longer blanket, add chains in increments of 8 to the original chain.
That's EXACTLY the information I was looking for!! Thank you!
Thank you!! I need to make it longer for my tall granddaughters
Thank you!!! I crochet for charity and the ability to make longer rectangles is appreciated!!!
Thank you! I was scrolling thru hoping to find this😘
Even or odd number of chains?
Cool, awesome, thank you 🧶🦋🌺😍
Happy new year.
I unraveled quite a few rows of the square and just finished a big rectangular.
I have to decide what border yet. Love it, thank you.

I'm going to use scraps to make lapghans for the nursing home.
Really nice!
Thank you so much!!!!
❤
How do you adjust the starting chains to get a narrower and longer rectangle? What is the finished size of the blanket in the tutorial? Is there a formula to determine desired finished size?
Use multiples of 8. It will allow for an extra set of 6 stitches and 2 chains. It worked for me!
Thanks!
Thank you, Gayle for your generous support, it's really appreciated! 😊🕷🧶🕸 Stay yarny!
I love it.making a baby blanket in Bernat Softee Baby.

Hi Craig. Will you have a written pattern for this blanket?
No, I'm sorry but I don't think I will.
Hi Fiber Spider. thank you again for these amazing tutorials. I´m planning to do it! I love your hook. Would you please tell me where did you get it? Best wishes to you and your family.

What would the stitch count be for a longer afghan? Is it an even or odd number of chsins?
Why would you want to get the tail out of the way? Crochet over it on your way back and you don't have to tuck it in later.
Would I chain the same 15 chains if I was making this for a California size bed
How did you know I wanted this? Thanks 👍
I wish you would have laid out the crochet piece every time you get to an end of a row so we can make sure that we’ve done it right
Oh no! Wish I saw this before I started the square version!!! Can I change my square into a rectangle?!?!? Help
Please!!
I can't seem to find this info anywhere: did he give dimensions for the amount of yarn he used?? Or if you know yours, I'd appreciate it.
Help! There was no way for me to save this. I have so many project going that I like to save things to do next.
What was your final dimensions for your project?
What is the multiple?
IS THERE A WRITTEN PATTERN?
Thanks!
Thank you so much, June, for your generosity and support, it's really appreciated! Stay yarny! 😊 🕷🧶🕸
