very good, we can share knowledge, experience, discussion, so that the seed paper can be maximized and useful, I have made seed paper from the beginning and then planted and grew into plants
hello christine! thank you so much for this video. i tried it out myself today and the paper came out beautifully, light purple, and with gorgeous textures. this is a bit out of topic, but what do you think about writing on this paper with ink?... i had just written down a letter with a purple calligraphy ink and once i finished i realized this could maybe harm the plant or soil it is planted in.. do you have any experience in this? if you write on your paper, what materials do you use? thanks in advance for reading!
I am glad your paper worked well. I haven't tried writing on it. I would suggest trying on a small piece using a fine pen and see how it goes. Good luck!
@@lol-lq7zd hello, we're doing a research and we think u might be a help for us. May i ask what is the result after u used an ink? Did it work? I would love to know.... Thank you.
Hello christine, thankyou so much for the video it really inspires me to make one myself! It would be helpful if you can tell me what tool do you use to make the butterfly and heart shaped paper ;) looking forward for your reply! ❣️
I used a die cutter. The actual machine is simply a manual one that you place the metal dies in. It is from Hobbycraft here in the UK - a basic model. You could use a punch to make many different shapes if you have any of those. I hope that this helps. 😀
You don't need a die cutter. But I used my Hobbycraft basic die cutter which uses different plates to cut different papers and cards. I just experimented until it cut properly. I am sure that you could use any die cutter on this paper so long as you do not make it too thick.
If you are using packets of seeds they will tell you when they need to be planted by. If you are using seeds you harvested yourself then I suggest they should be planted the following year. I hope this answers your question. Enjoy your paper making! 🙂
I cut them out using a die cutter but you could easily draw shapes and cut around them. I just make my paper whatever shape I can in my frame and then cut out my shapes. Offcuts get planted! 😀
You can use any seeds you like. Just think about who will be planting it and where. Make sure that they know if they need frost protection for example. The larger your seeds the more obvious they will be in the paper.

Yes, I love it when people use it for cards and gifts to encourage others to plant flowers! 😀
Very helpful!
What a great idea to make your own frame! I was not looking forward to buying one.

You mentioned cutting them on a die cutter. What settings did you use to cut them out on and which cutter??

Wow
Amazing

Hello! If I want to make invitations, how long ago should I make this in order for the seeds not to be damaged??
If you are using packets of seeds they will tell you when they need to be planted by. If you are using seeds you harvested yourself then I suggest they should be planted the following year.

Can we use used printed paper? So I can recicle some used paper I have
Yes, give it a go. If it goes grey you will simply have grey paper. Try a small amount and see what happens. 😀
Thanks
How do you make the specific shapes shown on your cards?
I cut them out using a die cutter but you could easily draw shapes and cut around them. I just make my paper whatever shape I can in my frame and then cut out my shapes. Offcuts get planted! 😀
Can I use orange seeds
You can use any seeds you like. Just think about who will be planting it and where. Make sure that they know if they need frost protection for example. The larger your seeds the more obvious they will be in the paper.
How do you make them into the bee shapes?
I used a die cutter to get the bee shapes. But you could look for bee outlines online and draw around those.
