I really love this movie. It came out when I was in high school and I still remember those little glimpses of the aliens causing so much screaming. I really wish I could have seen this in the theater.
That species 2 chip is the most traumatising thing, it still haunts me and when the girl is in the bathroom and her belly swells SHIVERS grabs NewBees flask !!
Thank you for covering one of my top 3 favourite movies. And just as a little Easter egg of sorts Morgan does mention that in his book it states that the aliens may have used up all their resources and are desperate to harvest ours. Gives more context as to why they would invade such a water heavy planet so hastily.
Man so when I was a kid...my parents and older sister played a prank on me using this movie. The part where they showed crop circles on the news. They brought me in and said, "Look aliens are real and they're starting to invade!" Scared the hell out of me as I ran to hide under my bed.
I love Signs as well. I've heard many say it was the start of M. Knight's fall off but I think it was his second best (behind Unbreakable) of his early career.
One of my favorite sci-fi movies. The last 8 minutes are sheer GENIUS! The music alone is worth the trip. And for those who always ask, Why would the aliens come to a planet covered in water if it's so harmful to them? Imagine: You are the alien, needing slave labor. The only world reachable with your technology offering a species suitable for slavery happens to be Earth. So you go there, despite the water.
"I'm looking at you, War of the Worlds!" Savage! 🤣 True, though! I loved Dakota Fanning's early work... until WotW! If I'd been Tom Cruise, I'd have tossed her out of the car, looked her brother straight in the eye, and said, "And you?"
I was 10 or so when this came out and it was one of my first DVDs. I loved it, esp because I was a kid who left water cups/glasses all over the place so when this came out I was like SEE!!
Hell yeah man, I’ve been hoping you would do “Signs”! I watched it in the theater and I still love the movie. It’s not a great movie, but it’s one I can watch anytime. Love the channel dude! My favorite part was “swing away Merrill”. And I think the girl in the pharmacy was on “The Walking Dead”
The germ theory is sound, but its still really funny that none of these aliens like... thought to test the water supply for contaminants. These aren't War of the World martians where they're highly advanced and can merk whole cities and that made them cocky, so its a but odd they didn't have their scouting team maybe dip their finger in the water to test if it can melt their flesh or not.
My sister and i rewatched this and i still got the same sick to my fucking stomach feeling when it got to THAT scene 😅 over a decade later and it still feels icky
So I scraped my old channel completely and refreshed for the new year. So you haven't seen comments from me in a while and I just finished my 32 birthday month upload goal and was suggested by somebody off TT to ask you if youd be down to do a top 10 fav video collab of sorts with me sometime or some other sort of video idea. If not thats totally fine. Just thought id reach out. Im working on videos for april that are better edited(since i finished my march goal) 😀
I unironically love this movie, it's cheesy, but it works. One of M.N.S's best works imo. I had the best time showing it to my friend for the first time, and we've never trusted cornfields since.
When I was in the military we would do this thing called reconnaissance seeing what we might be up against. Apparently these aliens did not do that because they are vulnerable to water but they invaded a planet where over 70% of the surface of said planet is covered by water🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️
Why not though? If they need a specific resource? Remember what remote places humans use for resources. The deep sea for example. We even try to fly in space without any planet with remotely breathable atmosphere whatsoever. But we can, so we do. So why should waterphobic aliens not conquer Earth?
Considering that the aliens need no suits, maybe this invasion was the last stand for them and earth was the last planet they could live on and maybe terraform.
This movie is a great example of suspense and tension. It doesn't make a lot of sense and the ending is lame (like a lot of his movies) but the suspense makes it seem like a better movie than it actually is
I love the excuses people who like this movies makes for it. Oh no it's not the water but bacterias in the water. And people are subdued for a reason, because they are not in all his other films, and this is just how he directs actors. It's a good movie if you just look past these few gigantic flaws. No need to excuse them.
"Morgan...yeah, he's...he's a Culkin" 😂😂😂
im still jealous of the kid who got a birthday alien visit , so cool
Dude, my health is deteriorating and your videos bring me a lot of comfort. Keep doing what you do.
I'm hoping your ok. Wishing you the best.
TheNewbee and deadmeat are the only movie channels worth watching!
This was the last movie my mom watched before she died of cancer. I'm still very glad she got to see a movie with a wonderful message like this one ❤️
Please don't give up on this channel! You're soooo clever and funny...there has to be a way to get more attention that you haven't figured out yet!
This channel is criminally underrated, seriously
I really love this movie. It came out when I was in high school and I still remember those little glimpses of the aliens causing so much screaming. I really wish I could have seen this in the theater.
I really don't get how your channel isn't attracting more eyeballs, you rock mate! Keep up the awesome work!
Funny enough me and my family watch this every valentine's day. Don't know when or why this tradition started but it's one of our favorite movie.
I watched this movie when it came out in a drive-in in the desert. We joked about aliens making crop circles by rearranging the rocks.
Ahhhh that’s the scary movie 3 reference
That species 2 chip is the most traumatising thing, it still haunts me and when the girl is in the bathroom and her belly swells SHIVERS grabs NewBees flask !!
Yeah, that whole movie! 🤮
I never knew I wanted to see a shipping container dropped on M Night until now.

Watched it at a friend's house during a sleepover as a kid. Phew, that birthday scene.

Good times with sociopathy!

This was a fun movie. It reminded me a lot of Spielberg’s early work.

Always a treat when you do drop a video
I never noticed until watching this review how dark there take on how destructive family separation is in Signs.
This movie definitely wasn't for me, but still an entertaining review. Love the channel!
I do love and look forward to your reviews, keep up the great work
I look for your videos every day. Your a light in my life. Thank you sir!!!

Great review as always!!
Loved the Paul reference 🤣
How would you feel about reviewing "The Howling"?
Yesssssssssssssssssss
Sir, you cheer me up
I always liked Signs. Was it as good as The Sixth Sense? No, but it's a hell of a lot better than Shyamalan's other films.
I prefer Unbreakable myself.
Yay a new newbee!!!!
I was 11 when this came out and it terrified me!!! 😂
Always enjoy your reviews!!
Another great review. Hope life doesn't keep you from us for too long. Have a great day!
7:37 yes they do, don't they? Always the farmers. I wonder why.

It’s weird that his wife revealing in her last moments that she wanted to become swingers is what got him his faith back. “Swing away!”

This movie is great, i love it. If you haven't seen it, then watch it!
The aliens from Battle: LA get directions to Earth from the aliens in Signs.
I unironically love this movie, it's cheesy, but it works. One of M.N.S's best works imo. I had the best time showing it to my friend for the first time, and we've never trusted cornfields since.
🎉thanks man for your videos are hilarious 😂!!!
First saw this movie when I was around 11/12. I was terrified of my pantry for weeks after 😂
Maybe you can do war of the worlds sometimes?? (:
I did the Tom Cruise version... maybe the original?
@@theNewBee Def. do the original!
I forgot what Creator I was watching but they explained that it's actually not an alien movie it's about demons
Another solid video- thanks!
Best channel on UA-cam 🥰
I love Signs ❤❤❤👽👽👽
Wasn't this the movie that rocketed (heh) Joaquin to stardom? I wonder if his brother River might have been in this movie if he hadn't died.
4:47 assume fox viewing positions ( bundy's )
🤗
I love this movie

They probably knew about the water but had to risk it any to get other resources some times you have to go to dangerous places to get things you need

Great movie!
I was gonna say "wooden acting". 😮
Rad content - this rips
