Tom, you unlocked a memory! My friends and I used to write Top 10 Lists like this that were obviously inspired by David Letterman. I had the books and everything. We used to crack ourselves up. What a fun time high school was (about a billion years ago. . .). Thanks for that!
Yes! Read his books- they are fantastic. I recommend Pet Semetary. The book is ten times scarier than the movies. I read it in one day because I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.
This book is King at his very best. It’s genuinely creepy and unsettling to read. The hobbling scene in the book is also SO MUCH WORSE, just a fair warning lol
Hi, 3rd time watcher, first time commenter.....I actually love all of Stephen King films especially Christine, Maximum Overdrive, and The Mist...But this film is so suspenseful that, like you said, you cannot look away! Thanx for the review!
Wow,l’m impressed that “Maximum Overdrive “ is one of your favorite King movies .So many people consider it one of the worst (if not the worst)of King-based movies.
@@BarryHart-xo1oy I just love its amped up madness! It`s not afraid of showing blood and destruction and best of all, the opening song from ACDC. I hate the band but the song is so perfect for the wholesale violence which is about to be witnessed. Christine is alot better.
"I mean, that's the problem with history, never anything like the books. Same as Stephen King movies." Misery is one of the exceptions. So is Gerald's Game. I recommend that one, very true to the book and disturbing and creepy, yet inspiring! (Hope you ditch that cold soon and feel better!)
What a solid review! Everything about it was great. And that rating was earned. I think Tom is the first person I have heard mention how strong Annie must be. Walking in deep snow is tough, doing it with over 150 pounds on your shoulders is nuts.
Scream Queen 👑 Also If you want to watch this, I didn't set this up like this, but All of Season 2 isn't about Annie Wilkes (Its easy though---Just look 4 her name, its in the description....And the next ones Episode 5.....if you're a Stephen King 👑 fan you'll wanna see it
Love your reviews, Tom. I’ve been following your channel since the Human Centipede review days. You have such a relatable sense of humor. It’s great to see your channel growing. Hope you and yours are well. ❤
I started reading the book when it first came out. Instead of Annie breaking Paul's ankles, she cuts off his feet with an ax!. It made me so nauseous, I had to stop reading it. I've never had that happen with a book before but it just freaked me out. I've been able to finish all other Stephen King books, just not that one.
Can't believe how well you banged out those riffs with this one! When you came to the hobbling scene, I remembered the _In Living Color_ sketch "Misery 2" with Keenan Ivory Wayans as Rick James! Then I remembered your Hammer clip at the beginning! So was that meta or just a coincidence? 🤔
Keistered? I like it! In the Midwest of my youth it would have been 'hinder(ed)'...the more you know... Oh and great show, one of the best King adaptations, thanks!
I was fairly young when the movie came out and my mom has always been a Steven King fan so I watched it when it came out. That’s the first movie I ever watched that scared the hell out of me that didn’t have a monster or other fantastical threat.
So, everyone knows how she hobbles him in the book, right? I won't say, because "Spoilers, Sweetie!" Just say yes if you do. It probably would have been hard to do in a movie. Well, not these days, but back then. (Warning: Putting the answer in the responses.)
@@danialyousaf6456 Now, you don't need to be rude about it. I DON'T like to give spoilers. I assume anyone watching this has seen the movie AND read the book. It's a poor decision to see a movie if you haven't read the book! But oh, so many people claim to be too blasé or "busy," to read. So they say. IMO people who truly like and appreciate the written word can ALWAYS find time to read or listen to audiobooks! Even if it's just a few minutes a day while eating or bathing. Anyway, in the book she cuts off his feet and cauterizes the stumps. Brutal stuff.
Oh nice man! Good choice Just an opinion but I think if you chose some big time movies you may see a jump in subscribers I mean your content and personality are good enough to have a few more subscribers I think ….. not that I’m saying that’s all you care about But I just think in the past you have covered some movies where not a lot of people have even seen them Good luck buddy Thanks for the content man It’s really good
So, Stephen King is always touted at this amazing horror writer, but I honestly think his horror stories are kind of meh. However, his drama and / or thriller stories are amazing! Hearts in Atlantis, misery, the shawshank redemption, the green mile, etc. Those stories are SO much better than IT, or the shining if you ask me.
"Annie are you ok?".....another chef's kiss!!!! Fantastic review!🤣

Stephen King really knows his stuff. I really need to read his books because I have only watched the movie adaptations and read some parts from IT.
Stephen King made me love reading. Definitely check out his books!

I’ll definitely give that a go then!

"Paul is ready man, he's not going down like some baby" in context to the line before, that was hysterical. fkg lmao
7) Resuscitated by cats ........
Seems like Cat woman had taken inspiration from this list.
"Misery" is a cautionary tale of how bad a fanatic can be. I love it, and it scares me.
in order words,,, dont become famous or you get a crazy fan after you

Still hilarious as always! Your reviews never fail to get a good chuckle from me
Loved all your little King references!
Tom, I nearly choked on my dinner when 'Hammer Time' started playing! 😂
What a solid review! Everything about it was great. And that rating was earned. I think Tom is the first person I have heard mention how strong Annie must be. Walking in deep snow is tough, doing it with over 150 pounds on your shoulders is nuts.

I hate youtube for not bringing you up in my recommendations. Missed your videos so.
Great video NewBee🤣 Number 11, the Dallas TV series, "It was all a dream," and now for what really happened😄
I JUST watched this movie last night so this perfect timing!! Great video as always! 😆😆

Wow man, 5 bees. I think this is a first, enjoyed the review and I’m glad you’re back at it. Thanks!
Hahaha Hammertime!! You could also have gone with Peter Gabriel’s Sledgehammer… 🔨
that movie launched Kathy bate's career big time!!!!!
Very true.
I LOVE this movie! And the book is one of my favourite SK books aswell 👌🏼 Another great review Tom!

'Robo-Misery'! Brilliance! 😂
You gave me oxygen deprivation, from my laughing.

Loved your top 10 list. But what the heck, no Lazarus Pit.
Whoop Whoop. Love this movie and the channel eh 🇨🇦
Cockadoodie!! My new favorite word😂
Brilliant review as always 👍🏻

Just say how it was done in the book.
We're already here for a review of the damn movie.
I don't think so
"Silence of the Lambs" came out a year later.

Top 10 list and Young Frankenstein ref were fantastic! so many funny moments; one of the best King movies! have a great day!

Oh, man. This is a perfect flick for the 🐝 Treatment.

One of my all time favourite movie and book.
Am I mistaken or did the hobble procedure in the novel involve his foot being cut off?
Baaahahahaha "Here, I stole this from Tom Hanks" hahahaha
NewBee and the top ten ways to bring a dead character to life!
feel better soon!
I have read the book and seen the movie. The sledgehammer part always freaks me out.
"You reap what you sow..." Great pun, I laughed out loud.
I liked the top 10. No I would not have got 8 if you didn't tell me. They need some ointment for no 1. Thanks for the videos Duder.
Really got to see this film
That freaking scene... 😵💫
Hammer Time...tff!!! Love it!
Not starting with "hammer time" 😂
12:15 to be frank, I'm surprised you held out as long as you did.
Great review! Great movie!
This movie is terrifying. Idk what it is but probably the fact that it could happen in real life is most scary.
If the word goes *poof* these pieces of art will live on in the memory of the collective.
Wow gained lots of subs newbie great job:)
Hammer time!
That dummy head though 10:36
I know the movie is good, but I never have and never will see it. I read the book and that's enough for me. 😅😅
I'm kinda that way with The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and its sequels! Love the books, have no desire to see the films!

How about Dolores Claiborne? That was the first Stephen King book I couldn't put down!
..."Back when they only had 12 shades". 😂
You are a damn genius!!!!
Get well soon, Tom. Love your reviews. Still can't watch the scene when she breaks his ankles 🤢😂.
Love this movie but I never understood how Annie was a free woman after all that baby killing
The first time I watched this I was 9... with headphones.
xoxo all hail the King
She cuts his foot off in the book...
I TRULY LOVE HORROR AND STEPHEN IS DEFINITELY MY HORROR KING....
LOVE ALL YOUR REVIEWS AS WELL!

I don't think Annie went to heaven.
🔥
Notice how she veered downward...
@@theNewBee I was on the edge of my seat during that sequence! Nice buildup of tension!

RoboMisery 💀💀
You are just too cute. Thanks for the review though
My mom told me about this movie
My mom was a big Stephen King fan back in the 80s, and she was particularly fond of this book!
Sorry, you're not my type😂😂
