I just find it so funny how we're 14 episodes in and when you look at the city it feels so huge and bustling and then the final shot shows us its absolutely tiny geographic footprint. Such a crazy juxtaposition; I can't wait to see how much of a sprawling urban megalopolis Avalon will be in a year and a half's time.
I always mentally imagine that those external pipes are for heat ducting in such a cold city. Glass-covered atriums in the residential blocks - like Barcelona, but battened down for the winter could look interesting. Like the City Creek Mall in Salt Lake City with the retractable roof.
Maybe it doesn't make sense but I think some solar panel farms a bit far from the city (like in blade runner) would look kind of cool. Anyway, great series, been loving it!
Very nice city, I like it. But it looks weird if you put that tv tower beside a skyscraper taller than it. Just imagine one side of the observation deck is blocked by that skyscraper.
I don't know if you have already heard about it, but in Paris, France, there is a building name "station F" it's the biggest european restaurant, made in an old train station, located next to an startup pool. I think it design could interest you
I like the clipping of the buildings especially in a dystopian/cyberpunk city. It gives a retrofitted feel, almost like the buildings used to be smaller but as the population grew they built on top of the older existing buildings; practically using them as a foundation
I see that you’re going for a futuristic/dystopian feel, but I think that some more open space and lower density buildings mixed in would help to make your city-center a little more believable. Great project!
Awesome! I really like the direction in which this project is going :) Loved the last cinematic shot, showing all the area in which the city still can expand!
In Cities: Skylines, there’s design, then there’s realistic design - that’s where Flux comes in. Your computer must be beastly to handle all those assets, even thought the city is still quite small at the moment.
I find it funny how flux works an entire episode on one part of the city, but then proceeds to not show a single thing of that part in the final cinematics
Love the feel and the look of the city. Only, i don't think i could live there i think because just of the lack of the natural light in around 90% of the apartments, especially on the lover floors of the buildings...... Keep up the good work further.
About this impressive urban development (the only comparison it comes in my mind is Sapporo, but I am no expert of mountain cities with permanent snow so I don't know), I wonder if is possible which such a concentrated and powered downtown the temperature may be decisively warmer than the rest of the region... Is possible?
I wouldn't say that industrial is all that likely to exist within a dense commercial zone like that, or at least I find it hard to believe it would be within those skyscrapers. A better way of defining those would probably be research buildings, as those could very easily be buildings that would have a large amount of non-standard heating, cooling, and other piping, and they would be quite likely to get many shipments of potentially very large items. And it seems to fit with your description for Avalon.
It feels like Chicago in the future. I would like to see the style of residential area in Chicago. Compact houses and small apartments, with small, thin roads. With dim light lining the streets.
Hey Flux, could you consider doing some videos where you work off camera, then after record at 1x speed a tour of the things you completed? Also you could do some commentary over yourself constructing in really time? Just to vary up the video style within the series and give us different perspectives into the city and allow us to feel like we are "with you" while building the city. Cheers!
i real love youre serries !!! can't wait for the next one !! it would be nice if you make an extra train station but one with a lot of glass and lights
Regarding to the metro interchange at 14:19 - why don't you use multiplatform stations with tracks crossing each other at different levels, like in real live? Would make walking distances shorter at allow for more direct routes and better flexibility for the whole metro network

Sussurus if he doesn't hit the prop limit in 2 months 😂
fps limit in 1 month lul
this comment aged well

That chord change when the LON appears in AVALON gets me every time. It’s so Bladerunner/noir that it hurts...
i dont even play the game but i love watching this. You are building cool city bro.
Maybe it doesn't make sense but I think some solar panel farms a bit far from the city (like in blade runner) would look kind of cool. Anyway, great series, been loving it!
^^^^^^this
That would look great
Solar panels in a polluted landscape for a megacity that limits its light and water usage xD hell yah
Just one thing. Snow.
Can I just say that you’ve mastered the timelapse/voiceover combination
Very nice city, I like it. But it looks weird if you put that tv tower beside a skyscraper taller than it. Just imagine one side of the observation deck is blocked by that skyscraper.
This would be a cool GTA map when finished
Or the map for "Cyberpunk 2077"
Here's an idea, how about building something like a capital building or central hq for all the big companys?
Still want a professional hockey rink as it would fit the theme and we need a college campus.
But its a dystopian & futuristic styled city. Not a quaint city in Minnesota.
Even more reason for sports teams and a college. Would be entertainment for the people there.
Put it on the top of a multi-shopping-skyscraper-complex and it problably could work...
U know what, I just thought of that there’s like no parking garages. How tf do people get into their homes??😂
I don't know if you have already heard about it, but in Paris, France, there is a building name "station F" it's the biggest european restaurant, made in an old train station, located next to an startup pool. I think it design could interest you
That whole Avalon-Scenario is great.
I like mostly, that the City is growing step by step/ bloc by bloc and the mass of detailing is pretty awesome.
I like the clipping of the buildings especially in a dystopian/cyberpunk city. It gives a retrofitted feel, almost like the buildings used to be smaller but as the population grew they built on top of the older existing buildings; practically using them as a foundation
Build some slums out of stacked shipping container buildings farther out at some point
Soviet style (CCCP Happy), Chinese walled city, and African/flavela style slums of the future would be so cool
Please LIVE of Avalon!!!!
I see that you’re going for a futuristic/dystopian feel, but I think that some more open space and lower density buildings mixed in would help to make your city-center a little more believable. Great project!
This city is looking great! This is definitely one of my favorite Cities: Skylines series.
You should ad a depressing Park.
With dark walkways, many homeless people and maybe some rundown nature.
King o Time • aren’t parks in general already depressing? 🤔
Build a slum, like strawberry in gta
Awesome! I really like the direction in which this project is going :)
Loved the last cinematic shot, showing all the area in which the city still can expand!
It just blows my mind how far City Skylines has become.
Your vision is insane, those skyscrapers look perfectly fine to me, but no doubt after you replace them I’ll be blown away. Keep it up man.
BEST CITIES SKYLINES SERIES! AWESOME... Can't wait for new episodes!!!

This dude “gantanful” has just uploaded some holographic billboard props on workshop, which I think will fit the city quite well
Dude can you photoshop a transit map for this city like a metro map. That could also be a cool thumbnail for the transit episode
I find it amusing to see some cluster of buildings, and the short ones have blinking red lights on the roof, and the tall ones don't. :)
i just binge watched all 14 episodes and i feel like i cant live w/o this series
I really cant wait to see the trains moving through the city!! Hope its soon!
Love the feel and the look of the city. Only, i don't think i could live there i think because just of the lack of the natural light in around 90% of the apartments, especially on the lover floors of the buildings...... Keep up the good work further.
“stuff you can’t see won’t get as many props” a few episodes literally detailing under 8m high roads between buildings XD
Maybe a sport complex, with a fenced, flood-lit 4G socer pitch. Or a large modern stadium complex on the edge of the CBD in the future
COME ON DUDE EXPAND MORE I CANT WAIT :DD
I love how detailed this series is, i would say I cant wait for you to finish and get it on the workshop but I dont have the snowfall dlc :(
Buy it when its on sale. it costs you about 5-7,5 €.
if you have the base game you can crack the dlcs if you want
o7 commander
CreamAPI is your answer
Love this series. Been a big fan since the Fluxburg series and I am loving where this city is going!
Anyone else still not used to the less than thirty minute episodes?
PointlessSanity • I was born having mental episodes
Damn the detail. Haven't been on your channel for almost a year. Good to be back
Matt Franco is very popular in this area, he is on literally every other billboard.
the slowed down intro music speeding up was plain awesome :)
Very cool ! You are the best Flux! Glad I found you 3 years ago! :)
I love the claustrophobic cyberpunk feel to this city
Loving this series, Flux! Well done!
About this impressive urban development (the only comparison it comes in my mind is Sapporo, but I am no expert of mountain cities with permanent snow so I don't know), I wonder if is possible which such a concentrated and powered downtown the temperature may be decisively warmer than the rest of the region... This is one of my favorite projects ever. Kudos to Fluxtrance
Amazing! Keep up the great work! 🖤🖤🖤
I kind of get Montreal from this city.... like if Montreal was 3x bigger and in a dystopian future.
I see CHICAGOO
Yeey more Avalon!
The further we go, the more exciting this gets!

!flux please put the 432 Park Avenue building in your city
it needs skyscrapers with spires, architectural designs, and an IBM office
Do an industrial high tech area
Wallace Earth HQ
Or Tyrell Corp
This build is so sick!
It feels like Chicago in the future. I would like to see the style of residential area in Chicago. Compact houses and small apartments, with small, thin roads. With dim light lining the streets.
The citizen be like "i love to live in a city where the building can move by it self"
Man i love your videos so much!
Thanks for all of these videos :D
You are now entering Avalon!! 😄😊
i think the train overpass definitely needs more support
If it’s gonna he blade runner style, you should make the area polluted as heck and possibly get Spinners for police cars
Hey Flux, could you consider doing some videos where you work off camera, then after record at 1x speed a tour of the things you completed? Just to vary up the video style within the series and give us different perspectives into the city and allow us to feel like we are "with you" while building the city. Cheers!
You should build a futuristic industrial zone next to mountains and the industrial buildings will be tall skyscrapers.
You should make a park somewhere like central park in New York or something. That would be really great.
i real love youre serries !!!
can't wait for the next one !!
it would be nice if you make an extra train station but one with a lot of glass and lights
the mod that lets you get rid of props/trees on buildings is actually prop it up
Love your videos! Could you make the timelapses at the end a bit longer? :P thanks!!
Hell yeah a new episode highlight of the day!
Your commentary is amazing! Your voice is incredibly soothing. Also what kind of FPS are you getting?
Probably 15-30 fps
He said he was getting around 5 fps in some of the densest areas
Detailing must be a pain in the ass with that kind of FPS.
I'm a big fan of his voice.
YAAS... he sounds like Mr. Daddy... am I tight?... I mean right? 😏
Finally my favourite yt series!
What about a multi-story car park in a building? dont think I have seen you do one yet.
I love this Project!!!!!!!
You're fuc*** crazy. I'm fund of your work ! Amazing...
Can you build in this city a small park, looks like the small edition of "central park"?
this city is so sick!
P A R K
City needs parks
Is there some inspiration from Va11hala behind this? the idea and setting is quite similar to that game.
Whats up with all the "gta v map" on every detailed cities: skylines city..
Avalon is more like the Infamous city.
haven´t played this game in like 2 years, now i started again but forgot everything! LOL
Mick= Mike = Mitch = click baited = lmao = hell
Am I the only one seeing buildings spinning at 04:00 ?!?!
Avalon should’ve been named Ohio City.
It's all so nice.
Do the apartments inside your huge residential block have windows?
im so excited for the suburbs
10:00 that kwebblekop intro music tho
0:26 Ridicuolus :o
are you going to get some avalon metro trains?
Will you be expanding towards the river?
Regarding to the metro interchange at 14:19 - why don't you use multiplatform stations with tracks crossing each other at different levels, like in real live? Would make walking distances shorter at allow for more direct routes and better flexibility for the whole metro network
Youa re soo good at this game xD LOVING IT
Avalon needs a park
Dt 854 Project 854 a depressing one cuz its blade runner style
You are going to hit prop limit in no time
Don`t forget 5 - 6 Cathedrals or massive Churches!
WAT!? Bout allah Muslims
Intro song so hype
love this series
Hi, I was wondering where you inspiration for the name Avalon is from? Obviously the name is linked to the legend of King Arthur of England.
Looks awesome, but no parks?
Killian:DISTOPIAN MEGACITY
We need some kind of GTA in this city, incredible
Looks real
Would there be a chance of you putting any water features in?
16:08 building hovering
