Simple. Old people's perception of 'Yellow' is different from people today.
Word used was 'baqaratus safraun'
The safraun was later to be used to describe certain flower (saffron).
On french it is the ginger heifer, which is losest to the gold color. Allah o 3lam.
When saffron is dried petals it actually looks dark red or maroon but when soaked in water then it becomes pale and the water looks orange/dark yellow. So both could be correct.

@@mercedeslover907 your reply was kind, thank you. I haven't read the whole of Quran but I have been keenly following Islamic teachings from prominent teachers. Having been a Christian who knows reads his bible, I can tell you that the Bible is entirely independent, complete and reliable.
For Islamic Faith, I find it quite different, it heavily relies on the Bible, areas where they agree are highly emphasized to justify it's outhority but where there are clear differences, there are unjustified criticisms of the Bible being changed.
Look for example at the divinity of Christ, it's so clear in the bible, though a key contentional belief btn Islam and Christianity, I don't know how you can use the Quran to disqualify the divinity of Christ while at the same time you use the Bible to justify some of your beliefs. Forgive my long post but this topic has been of great interest to me
@@juliusgichuki1434The Qu’ran was sent as the last message that followed the Zabur, Torah and the Injeel. Ofc there are gonna be similar teaches since all the books were from God. However, the Torah and the Injeel became corrupted and changed hence why we have the Qu’ran. It is evident that Christianity is corrupted as they claim Jesus is the son of God which is an insane claim.
@@juliusgichuki1434We don’t use the Bible or the Torah to justify the Qu’ran. We only accept teachings in the CURRENT Bible and Torah that are consistent with the Qu’ran. Otherwise we dismiss what is in there as they are not the same books sent down thousands of years ago
