A person who spends day or night in the masjid waiting for death isn't closer to Allah(sunbannah wa ta'ala) than the person walking around the streets. Who's to say that the person in the masjid wasn't a horrible person, internally, before he found out he was dying and decided to stay in the masjid due to his impending death. Only Allah (subhannah wa ta'ala) can make that determination. An outward show of faith does not supersede what is in a person's heart and soul. My grandma passed away a few years ago while.some.of our rlatives were on vacation so my aunt decided to postpone the funeral.until the relatives came back from their vacation. My grandma did not look the same 2 weeks after her death. My grandma and my aunt were not Muslims. It was sad affair.

So family that has no money can possibly never visit the grave of their loved one who was buried half way across the world? Who will maintain that person's grave? And if children wanna come to their parent funeral I don't see what is the problem of keeping body on ice for extra day or two?

Ya Allah, Lord of the Heavens and the Earth, we seek Your guidance and mercy. Illuminate our hearts with faith, our minds with wisdom, and our actions with righteousness. Help us to live a life that pleases You and benefits others. Forgive our sins, ease our burdens, and strengthen our resolve to do good. When our time comes, grant us a peaceful departure and a place in Your eternal paradise. Bless our loved ones and unite us all in Jannah. Ameen.

My father passed away 6 Years ago in china. He was on a business trip. He was a very good pious man Alhamdulillah. He always said that a mayyat should be buried as fast as possible. But I made the decision to transport his body to his homeland. He always wanted to be buried in his mother's grave. And it took 60 days for his body to reach his land. We feared some foul play must have been done to him. May Allah make it easy for him.

ّرَبَّنَا اغۡفِرۡ لِىۡ وَلـِوَالِدَىَّ وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ يَوۡمَ يَقُوۡمُ الۡحِسَابُ Our Lord! And increase the wrongdoers only in destruction.”(Quran 71:28) . اللهمَّ ارزق والدي الجنَّة بدون حسابٍ ولا عقابٍ واعفُ عنه واغفر له الذُّنوب جميعها O Allah, grant my father Paradise without reckoning or punishment and pardon him, and forgive all his sins. Dua for Father’s Health and long life (أَذْهِبِ البَاسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ، اشْفِ وَأَنْتَ الشَّافِي، لاَ شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ، شِفَاءً لاَ يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا) “Remove the harm, Lord of men, and give healing. Thou art the Healer. There is no healing but Thine, a healing which leaves no illness behind.” اللهمَّ ردَّ على أبي صحَّته وألبسه لباس العافية والصحَّة ولا تجعله يشكو ألما. ربِّ اغفر لأبي وأكرم نزله وهوِّن عليه سعيه في الحياة اللهم اشفِ أبي من كلِّ آلام الدُّنيا وأوجاعها وكلِّ ذرَّة ألمٍ تسكن جسده. اللهمَّ إنَّ أبي لم يؤذِ أحدًا في حياته، وكان يسعى في مصالح البشر، أسألك أن تردَّ عليه صحَّته وتخفِّف وجعه. اللهمَّ أكرم أبي بكلِّ الخير والشِّفاء. يعزُّ عليَّ طلبي يا الله وهو عليك هيِّن، امنن على عبدك بالشِّفاء. اللهمَّ إنَّك إن قلت للشيء كن فسيكون، أسألك أن تقضي بأمر شفاء أبي وردِّه لنا سالما معافى لا يشكو وجعا. يا كريم أكرم أبي بشفاء كلِّ آلامه وأمراضه ولا تجعله يشكو وجعًا. ربِّ اغفر لأبي كلَّ ما يحول بينه وبين شفاء آلامه، اللهم اجعل هذا الألم كفَّارةً لأبي. اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الصِّحَّةَ، وَالْعِفَّةَ، وَالأَمَانَةَ، وَحُسْنَ الْخُلُقِ، وَالرِّضَا بِالْقَدَرِ‏.‏ “Oh Allah, I ask You for health, restraint, trustworthiness, good character, and contentment with the decree.”(Adab al mufrad 307)

May Allah grant us hidayah, and prepare for akhira ameen

Mufty, dont tell things when you dont know anything about. A muslim body can only be burried in soil where the Adzan is practised. That is te respect for the body who needs the Ezani Muhammedi.... Burrying a muslim body in soil where the sheyateen is master, is not according the İslamic teechings.
