    Great information. Thanks buddy. I've changed plug and coil pack. Now this video makes me think it's could be the injector

      I’ve got white smoke and a heavy gas smell. I’m getting misfire on 2,3 and 4 cylinder. I’m thinking injector. So what do you think? Mine is a 2011 ford f150 xlt.

      Was it your injector? 2006 4.0 - I've changed plugs, wires, coil pack, fuel pump, fuel filter.. it's got to be injectors next right?

    I have a 2010 Ford Escape with 6 cylinder. Code P302. #2 cylinder misfire.
    Spark: I checked the coil and it is not bad. Pulled it up and I can hear it sparking. Swapped with the coil in 3rd cylinder and no change.
    Compression.: I pulled out the plug of #2 and checked compression. It was 135 lbs. I checked compression of 3 and 4 cylinder, 135lbs, So not mechanical/valve/rings.
    I put in new plugs while checking compression and no change, not plugs.
    Fuel: I purchased and replaced fuel injector in #2 cylinder, no change.
    Engine misfires, but not a completely not firing. Meaning if I pull the the wire connector out of the coil, the engine does drop, a little, but not jumping like if if pull it out of another cylinder. Same if I disconnect the lead to the fuel injector.
    So if it is not spark, not compression/mechanical, and not fuel, what else should I check?

      Usually, it would be one of those things. This is just a guess, but there may be an intermittent wiring issue causing a component to intermittently fail, causing the PCM to throw the code.

    I have a 2007 escale and the firing order is
    123
    456
    With 456 being the front. Does this mean i have to pull my intake to access cylinder 2?

    • @HVAC_Mechanic
      @HVAC_Mechanic  10 місяців тому

      The spark plugs, coil, and injector should be assessable without removing the intake.

    Nice video! I have codes p0302 and p0202. I have swapped the spark plugs and coils, it’s still running rough and engine light is still on with same codes! The intake is a mother to pull off! Any ideas?…

    • @HVAC_Mechanic
      @HVAC_Mechanic  8 місяців тому

      The P0202 code is “Cylinder 2 Injector Circuit/Open,”. I would check and test the wiring going to the Cylinder 2 coil.

      @@HVAC_Mechanic wiring was fine. I swapped out the coil and spark plug first and it still had codes then swapped the fuel injector and finally fixed it. Thanks! Intake removal was the worst part. I’ll never buy another ford based on difficulty of fixing things…

      @@joethepro7050I’m having the same problem with cylinder 3 in my 2014 Focus. I replaced the spark plugs and it was fine for a couple weeks. Then the same code came back so I replaced all the coils as well. Now cylinder 3 and 2 seem to both be missing. I’m not sure what the problem is, but I’ve heard that coolant leaking into the system is a common problem for these.

    • @joethepro7050
      @joethepro7050 8 місяців тому

      @@isaiah.paulson I mean it could be, but the coolant shouldn’t affect the engine. So I would replace the injectors in those cylinders and see how it goes. Changing the injector fixed my issue. They’re like $55 each I believe.

      Each engine has its own firing order, which needs to be looked up. Google your engine firing order and look at Google Images; they usually have it.
