Agreed. Too bad JMJ has gone the way of the powers that be, sold himself to the elite agendas. I doubt he´s smart enough outside his music to get what he´s doing in that regard.
This was actually released in 1976, so this was 14yo when this performance happened. I saw a video of them performing it in the 70's, and guys are running all around the stage to make the right notes on giant machines. It's definitely gotten easier to perform. He probably just needs an iPad & an AMP today.

I was there, it was my second JMJ concert, after Destination Docklands. I am sure I will never see anything like this in my lifetime again. JMJ was, and still is, the master of live concerts. Lets have another massive City sized concert Jean Michel. PLEASE !!!

The countdown and the First Song Oxygene 4 were the most intense, stunning and huge music experience of my Life ... in Paris La Defense at 14.07.1990 - 201 Years after the French Revolution.
I think Jean has incorporated France into some of his tunes.. like the French style accordion sounds JMJ put on some of his songs like Chronologie 6, which I felt gave those tracks a French feel....and "band in the rain"..to me sounds like something from France too. So I do believe some of his work he does incorporate France into it. Also just like Ravel and Debussy, to me JMJ is a modern day classical composer. So yes it is good to know that such good music came from French people.

The only thing I remember was a brief appearance of Jarre at that time in a Dutch television program where he announced the video release of this concert. They aired a tiny bit of Calypso 1, performed with the steeldrum band and two giant creatures. I thought, being 11 at the time, that he was the god of synthesizer. I didn't have the VHS for untill around 1996, but I've played it so often, that's now almost erased, lol! Does anyone know if there are DVD's of his classic concerts available?

Unfortunately most of it wasn't live, perhaps the drums, bass and main melody, which Jarre wasn't even playing himself.
Hard to believe this was almost 24 years ago. Yet the music hasn't aged at all. Jean Michel was way ahead of his time.
