      @@inurheartNo, you’re working hard to prepare for the future, hence 50 years left, and you play like there is no tomorrow cause you could literally die tomorrow and what the point if you spend your whole life working for an unattainable future? If there was no tomorrow, lets be real, you wouldn’t work cause there is no point. You only have one day left, so you would play.

    • @CS-lk2wg
      @CS-lk2wg Місяць тому +228

      @@loucavania I think a lot of comes down to access of iPads at a young age. They are designed to stimulate the brain and school is the opposite of that and kids don't care about learning as they did when we were kids. My little brother is 8 and he started kindergarten in August 2020 which meant our school was running again and he wasn't one of the kids affected by the pandemic the way other kids were. These kids literally were missing months of developmental and social experiences they will never get to experience. They are missing 2 and a half months more memories of whatever grade they were in during that time. So when they were in quarantine a lot of parents didn't have the time to spend with them and it meant more time for iPads and stimulating things that ruin a developing brain. I'm not going to say school shutdowns literally destroyed children in schools today but it definitely amplified it. My parents had already given him an iPad when he wasn't even in preschool yet. TikTok is terrible for children attention span and makes schooling them nearly impossible because they just don't care and on top of that they don't respect the teachers. Disciplining and sticking to your word when you know you're right is how we can teach respect to our children. We can't say we're going to take something away from them or not buy them something at the store and then give in when they're behaving because that discredits us as parents to the children. They won't take us seriously or view us as someone to look up to if they can crack us every time they want something. This is something that my parents struggle with when it comes to my little brother. When it was me and my older two siblings this was not an issue. I think it comes down to the way we parent and the parents of the children born after 2010 have not cared or known how to do what I'm saying and I only really know because I've witnessed two different ways that my parents have parented and the original way things were done is obviously better because it will make the world better and will have more positive results for the kids. I actually can hold a job for years and when I leave its on my terms. A lot of kids think they're going to make a living by working at McDonalds after dropping out of high school at 16 if they're parents let them or eventually at 18 and hopefully by the time they get to their senior year they'll take things seriously because rn they don't see the value in education and have no idea how hard life really is. They don't see the connection of how higher education usually leads to a better career, happier life, and more opportunities for their children and family. Also higher education in itself will not always bring all those things because it depends on what you actually go into. For instance teaching doesn't pay a lot and rn it's a very hard job and is something I would be scared to go into because we are basically powerless because of the uninvolved parents and the way iPads have replaced their childhoods. Imagine thinking back to your childhood and seeing an iPad home screen as your core memories instead of playing outside or a nostalgic video game. Such a waste of childhood it's really sad where things are headed with gen alpha but we can do better with the next gen which I just looked up and is called generation beta and is going to be 2025-2039 so probably the first half of that generation has a chance but idk about the second half where gen alpha might ruin it because they don't have the experiences of childhood and parental figures the way we did before parents started throwing iPads at there kids.

Lego Star Wars: The complete saga will always be my favorite video game ever because it was my first ever video game I've played, and that's how I was introduced to Star Wars. I used to play on the 360 when I was 5. I still play it every once in a while. What we do in life echoes in eternity. I've been traveling back and forth across the country for work, and my God, it ain't easy. You gotta keep working hard and conquer your dreams and goals like what I'm trying to do. If you're younger than 18 or even better, 12-14 years old, as a word of advice from someone who is 23... don't be lost in 'nostalgia' now. Its fun to think about the good years you had when you were younger, but when you start to become lost in nostalgia and compare your current self and situation to your past you will lose a lot of time. Time you have now that you can make memories with. Especially if you were born 2010, you are barely beginning to make more childhood memories. Cherish the time you have in your teenage years. That counts as your childhood. Once you're an adult out of school working a 9-5 you'll thank me. Please don't grow up too fast. Take advantage of the time you have in middle school / high school / college. i made a huge mistake when I was 14, I thought my childhood was over, and I forced myself to act older and mature faster. Now, as an adult I realized how much time I had lost thinking this way.
    Edit: I hear you all I hope the best for each and everyone of you. To add onto this, I'm young too and I still have time to make memories. It is never too late my friends.

      yeah see the thing is I was forced to grow up too fast (born 2010). We will always look back at these days in awe, we always will. Everyone no matter the age should be grateful of their life and cherish the present even if you're not a kid. I will think nostalgically about my life in the future but you will think of your current life too in the future. Its a never ending cycle of nostalgia and it shouldn't dictate our life.

Just makes me realize I grew up quickly without realizing. I thought my childhood had ended by time I was 10 and the truth is, it’s still happening. Enjoy the moments now more than ever, don’t just reminisce in old memories, make new ones as well. You’ll be better and more happy when making the memories rather than just remembering them. Then, in elementary school, my parents gave me a Ps3 Super Slim along with Gran Turismo 5 and a steering wheel. Over time I collected games and among them was Minecraft. In 2017, in high school, I got the Ps4 Slim but it wasn't the same as the Ps3. In 2020, when we were quarantined due to COVID I decided to jailbreak the Ps3 to see how it is...... and from then until today I can't stop playing Ps3 because it reminds me of when I was little and life was simple. ...... perfect and beautiful.

      If anything it shows bow bad our todays world has become. When everything around us being turned miserable, dark and getting corrupted and taken away from us. It has rapidly increased in the past few years. I was born in 1984 so technically counting as Millenial but i cannot remember having such a strong sense of nostalgia when i was 18 or so. Except for maybe all the movies my parents and I still had on VHS or looking back at our 8 bit and 16 bit console games.. because the early 2000s were still pretty cool. Things really started to go downhill past 2010/2012 and REALLY around 2016. Trying to find something today that gives us the same permanent feeling of joy and bliss is next to impossible so i can see why we look back so much at the things that made us happy when we were kids and early teens.

      @@KRAFTWERK2K6Yeah I honestly agree man! Except for the early 2010s part (to a certain extent) because those times were still good (but back then I was a little kid so that’s why I said it). But I think with the integration of Social Media and all this other stupid stuff I think is the reason why society has become so out of touch with reality. And why it is the way it is today. Personally the 1980s, 90s, 00s and to a certain extent the early 10s were sooooo much better than the generation that were living in now. Although I still have hope for the future because I truly think society may go back to the stuff from the good old days (not entirely), but I think they should bring back things from those time periods and integrate them into modern society. Do you know how much joy that would bring to people’s lives? It would be fantastic!

    • @KRAFTWERK2K6
      @KRAFTWERK2K6 20 днів тому

      @@joey17503 Absolutely fair point regarding the ever increasing worsening factor of social media. Sadly it is also because it has been weaponized and stripped of all the good aspects such as connecting with each other like it used to be on youtube when it still had a messaging system and people could write each other and content creators directly and ask them for collabs or help each other. Nowdays we only have the bare Minimum. Commenting, maybe "liking" and creating the most buzz over something with massive reach is the ONLY thing we are still allowed to have which is a destructive combination that plays the worst side of humanity... It definitely was way better in the early days of web 2.0 around 2005-2007 and i still look back at it with a big smile because it still felt like the internet was supposed to work and things were a lot less restricted. Seeing how the internet has become a clustered regional censored local net, we do need an entirely new internet that cannot be stopped by local governments who hate progress and people connecting with each other without the need of government talking heads that "represents" them. Right now i like that the resistance against the division and segregation of people is increasing and that people are getting more vocal about the problems caused by weaponized social media that forces us into a narrow corridor of opinions and pictures. Same with what's happening in the media and games. This is also why i have lots of hope for GenZ and don't think we are doomed because i can already see the young generation starting to see what is going on and looking at it more critical. And i love that. it's like mankind is a giant organism that heals itself.

    I dont want to grow. I dont care if its good or bad, or what people say, and I cry for that. Sometimes i dont want to live anymore cause grow up terrifies me as hell, and i would like to keep my memories as a kid or as a teen forever...

I personally think it's not very fair to expect us to make all these decisions early in life- but something that gives me peace of mind is knowing that regardless if I bomb a test, don't get into the college I want, end up in a profession that I hate, nothing can take away mine or your ability to make our own choices. Childhood may have been comfortable, but in the story of your life it's only one chapter. And thank you for making this. I’ve noticed our generation seems to be going through a strange, yet wonderful nostalgia phase, but a lot of the content discussing it comes with mourning over the fact it’s over. When I was younger, I owned an old Wii and Wii U along with a variety of games like Mario Kart, that quirky rabbit game, Minecraft, and others. Recently, I had a sudden recollection of these memories and decided to venture into the attic for the first time. The attic, untouched by humans for years, was a nostalgic treasure trove waiting to be rediscovered. After a 40-minute search, I unearthed the Wii U, though sadly, the Wii was nowhere to be found. Nevertheless, I dusted off the console, plugged it in, and spent a delightful three hours immersed in my childhood favorites. It was truly one of the best gaming experiences I've had in a long time, reminding me of the unique joys of a Gen Z childhood.. This video reminded me of the time, Thank you.

    In my eyes, my childhood ended when my dad was diagnosed with Cancer when I was 14. He would be treated for almost exactly 1 year. Then, two weeks before my 15th birthday, he was gone. That was the day Minecraft stopped, Yu-Gi-Oh! stopped, Magic The Gathering stopped, Pokémon stopped, everything I loved left with him. It's been 5 years since my dad passed and to say that these 5 years have torn me apart would be an understatement, when stress comes, it can hit like not just one truck, but a seemingly neverending line of them. I can understand and appreciate that I got to live a pretty long childhood compared to most and I am grateful it happened. I recently did the same thing you did, hopped back into some of those hobbies and I finally understood the meaning of the word nostalgia, nostalgia can almost feel magical or spiritual and that's exactly how it felt to me. Thank you for making this video and if anybody reading this comment needs it, keep your head up, you're doing great, you may hit challenges or roadblocks, but I know you can get through them. It seems I have less free time every year that goes by and I'm not in contact with any of my old game friends anymore.

    Edit: I’m not trying to start a war. It’s just my opinion, that out of all my friends (and me) that have played various GTA games, I felt that those who had played GTA IV were more mature, and had a deeper understanding of life, since the storyline and the dialogues were so much more mature and so much darker. I never felt like it was real, I knew what the characters were doing was bad and illegal, and so I didn't mimic any of that when it came to real life. If a kid is raised right they will understand that it's just a game, and they shouldn't do the same things in real life.
