First off I am a Mosquito Buffet! If there is 1 mosquito in the area it will find me! I've tried everything from Deep woods Off to dryer sheets to drenching my self in vinegar! I stumbled across this video and decided "why not?" I love being outside but in South Central Texas the mosquitos are brutal! So today we were going to have family over to Bar B Que. So I prepped the concoction and spayed it mid day as suggested. Later in the evening when we were outside I asked my guests if the mosquitos were biting becuase I had been bit ONCE! Normally I would have gone inside because the bites are typically unbearable. I also sprayed some in the front yard and has we said our good byes later that night it was the same! ONE bite! So in days past the amount of bites would have been so overwhelming its hard to spend more than 15 min outsiden. I am more than amazed this worked so well.. You sir need to bottle your genius and share it with more people.

Have to try the one with sugar and yeast, etc. It's interesting that you used that (or beer) because years ago when I lived in Hawaii, our friend who lived up next to the cliffs would drink a 6 pack of beer the night before going hiking up in the trails. And that alone kept him from getting bit by mosquitoes. I used to give my dogs brewers yeast daily and they never had ticks or fleas.
I never got bit when I was drinking . So I do find it interesting that the beer attracts them . But the body probably metabolizes the beer into something less attractive to them . I could drink one beer and not get a single bite while my sober companions would get attacked at the lake . Or maybe they but me but I had no histamine reaction. I never got the tell tale bumps they leave when they bite . So there’s something to it .
Oh man... do they LOVE beer...just sprayed my yard and half way through them suckers were swarming me! Wear thick clothes when ya spray... cuz gosh... I am bit up.
Couldn't we just use real alcohol instead of mouthwash? If we just need the alcohol as stabilizer what about using the dollar store 50% alcohol rubbing alcohol? Btw thank you for posting this video and giving us the real info...and thank you for pointing out that driving them away to someplace else isn't helping anyone especially because they carry diseases..thank you. I love that it isn't pesticide if you have pets who eat grass or little ones who play in the yard ppeople don't think about the pesticides that can enter your bloodstream from even walking barefoot on the grass and even when it rains the runoff water...pesticides go into the oceans..bad news.

Don't they have conflicting functions? Either it should be mouth wash only (repellant) or beer (lure) + epsom salt (to kill)? Thanks for your reply. Breg

You said salt kills mosquitoes, so I would like to ask you If I put a spray bottle of water and epsom salt all together, and sprinkle on them, will they die?
I'd like to spray this at the nursing home my mother is at...don't want to use beer. Can I use yeast packets? Maybe explain the ratio for mixing. In the mean time I'll be experimenting. Thanks for the tutorial.

I think the mouthwash provides the strong mint smell that mosquitos are supposed to not like.

Epsom Salt Is magnesium not salt.
