I totally understand your point of view, I have a 3yr old girl and I'm a bit overprotective with her specially when it comes to tech, but nobody know what company hold the data, who's watching and what they do with the data/video collected, considering how fcked up this world is, the Tesla emplyees scandal is a perfect example of why a local solution is the way to go these days.

4:20 ...this is how much I watched of this video before giving up ....can anyone tell me if he ever says how much the monthly fee is for the features? And does your video every get sent out of your house? ...like the Wyze cameras send your audio & video to China before senting/alarting you of a problem. IMO you'd be better off with dumb RTSP cameras connected to a SBC (Raspberry Pi 5 running Motion Eye) to do all of your file saving, alerts there is a person in yourback yard, or if it is a bear., etc. And you can ssearch YT on hoow to dumb down wyze cameras by replace its rom with a hacked rom that just gives you RTSP... this is what I did.
I'm personally not putting a random camera in my home, there's nothing secure about that especially without night vision. If it was an outdoor camera supported by a more reputable company with better quality, then it would make more sense.

@@YHK_YT Hey there, the data is not being processed unless you're using the ViewSay service, which only pulls keyframes for object identification. Otherwise, data is stored locally in the camera.
