Bach's Chacone from Partita II took me on another brief foray into my woefully, broken heart. The heaviness of my despair, had me yearning to return to those times when I was comforted and sustained. I felt my whole being, gripped in the torment of a diving bird, plunging into the dark depths of an abyss. I yearned for a tiny crack or slight opening, that could lead me up, to better soothe my suffering. My pain was clenching me as if I had been stabbed all over again. I could no more rise out of my despair. This work held me in the trenches; I was unable to escape my emptiness.
