If you plan on making this yourself Tip on shrinky dink: use plastic scrap to mark ruler lines on them shrink it to see your plastics particular shrink factor so you can size your piece. Also seal the side that you put the color on once it's shrunk. On the web: I suggest embedding fishing line in with the main caulk lines to help with overall longevity (and go for a silicone hybrid caulk over pure acrylic I think) Also the PVA glue takes FOREVER to dry. Sorry in advance (be careful of bubbles as you can see they stick around 😅)
I am so rarely impressed by most DIY crafts on here but this was actually really cute!!! And it seems like with enough work this could end up being a very cute project to do with slightly older kiddos, too.
Omg this reminded me of that as seen in tv window paint I had as a kid that made it look like stained glass or you could make stuff on mirrors that you could peel off!
Woah 😮! It’s amazing that you can make something so cool out of things. I had no idea that you could shrink normal plastic like that. I’m just out here buying specific shrink plastic lol.
Almost grotesque to see the shrinky-dink spider skitter around the tray as its legs curl in, like it's trying to escape the heat that's slowly killing it.
You have the voice of the American equivalent to those Filipino TikTokers that are fast at speaking and increase the pitch and slow down at the end of their sentences like “Bumiliakongbagongba haAAAYYYYY”
Won’t do it at home alone but if someone would organise such workshops where the tutor teaches how to create different beautiful stuff I would definitely participate..
It's a Sollux Arachnid. So named because of the bright sunlight beams it uses as both food and webbing fuel. However, scientists have discovered that most Sollux Arachnids (otherwise commonly known as Sun/light Spiders) have trouble producing the web as they mature, as the first web creates a greater display of colors in the net of light. Most Sun spiders will lay in wait in windows facing east or west to catch the largest number of prey. They have been known to venture out of humanoid domestic habitation in particularly sunny areas. Their numbers have been reduced in recent decades to be included on the endangered species list. Although conservation efforts, (such as the one on screen) have helped the numbers of the sunlight spider to grow, leading to their removal from the endangered species list. The population is expected to return to sustainable numbers within 5 years.
That brand of glue specifically yellows pretty fast. Idk if it's a uv light thing or what, I'm not an expert, i just had a fascination with glue as a kid
I don’t think she was trying to make a craft out of just repurposed materials? She had to use the takeout container lid because you need a certain type of plastic to do shrinky-dink art
Unfortunately, the food colouring of the glue will fade from the sun in time, so you'll have to remake your decoration maybe yearly or earlier if you want to keep it for longer
Ooo I love the trash element
🖤 I absolutely adore using trash / found items in my art /when I make things. 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
@@Gothorella yeah one of the reasons I love your work
your art is so cool!!! i also saw a few of your videos and YOUR HAIR IS COOL TOO!!

you can actually use that heat gun to pop bubbles in the resin!!! Be careful with it you might accidentally jump start the curing
@@artsyscrub3226 It’s not resin here it’s PVA glue, so just basic school glue but a clear version of it

The sunset line made me smile. So cute!
You really said let's put a HARD L in that "caulk" 😂😂
Big black CAULK
I mean without it is a terrible idea
@@AlphaCastAintItFor you maybe 😂
Nice Caulk!
i do the same thing LMAO really gotta emphasize that L
You just opened a whole ass world do me with those caulk solder lines & the fake stained glass
*FUCKKK YEAHHH!!!* 🤩
Craft stores have something like this to make fake stained glass. I love it and they look real. All in press the nozzle bottle style
@@kyleanuar9090 You mean like a pre made kit? Definitely curious to know more lol
Okay, this one is my favourite so far. Amazing artwork.
Your videos are so fun and inspiring! I'm already on the lookout for trash 👀
🥰♻️🗑️ tysm and yay! Trash is so fun to work with!
Shrink-in-ana-dinkin 😂
My crafting child self is so amazed and happy to see this for some reason. She's ready to make a whole army of this 😭😭😭😭
The spider curling up looks like that one scene in Harry Potter when they use that painful spell on the spider
Crucio!
You can use chip bags to make tiny chip bags.... we used to make magnets that way
And novelty earrings
What?! How??? My inner child insanely wants to know every detail of this magic… Could you please describe what you’re talking about, master?🙏🏻
If you do the bag thing, do it outside or on the stove where the vent fan is on don't breathe the fumes.
I have always loved stained glass, this is a cool idea❤
awe! this video just reminded me that my pet black widow has breached containment and is somewhere in my room :)
I can't on how creative you are, lady! So impressive, such a great idea!!
this one is so gorgeous! I love that you used simple, accessible materials too😊
I'm a child of Art Attack so any craft made with random stuff truly hits a good place in my brain and heart.
Your voice is giving ruby from max and ruby lol I love🤗
So creative! ❤
Your videos are so satisfying.

The way that moved while it curled and shrunk almost made me think of some weird spider.
It's so terrifying seeing the spider shrinking 😂❤
I never knew you could use this glue this way! Happy arting
It's super fun but takes FOREVER to dry (Well, getting enough layers for it to be a solid enough sheet takes a while to dry)
Hey 👋 that's really cute and creative. I'll probably never do it but so cool to watch
The spider shrinking reminds me of the scene from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire where the students are taught about the 3 Unforgivable Curses 😮
This looked so cool
its just window colour. we did this in kindergarden
Woah, that’s so cool! 😮

Lol how carefully you said the "l" in caulk 😂
THIS IS SO COOL
the stained glass look is so fabulous; can you make one inspired by Kafka from honkai star rail? The purple and the spider remind me of her ❤️

Gorgeous!
Me just realising those window sticker sets I got as a kid were probably just coloured PVA glue
Incredible work ❤
This is so cool
Beautiful
You could always give thrash to the recycling centre.
You know you have that option, right?
I like it...I'm fond of spiders.
anyone else jump slightly when the spider started “moving”? 😂
that spider is alive O.o
I love it but i wish the spider was pore obvious. Maybe not have it in the center?
The caulk can be unruly 🤣
Okay but what font did you use for your subtitles? it's lovely
Ive newver heard someone pronounce the L in caulk. Ive only ever heard ot pronounce CAWK...
Fascinating
I love the black caulk 🤤🤤🤤
Bro the web looks so edible
That spider was suffering
I do love me some black caulk
They..
Sell..
_clear_ PVA glue?!
It's not always white?
My eyes have been opened!
Lovely glass blown art pretty much but its recycled 😍 beauty. Perspective
The plastic spider skittering around while being heated up was pretty unnerving 😅
On the contrary, a sunset is just as nutritious
As the sun any other time of the day.
One bite, and you’ll never have to eat again.
"Time to get out some black *caulk*.."
*sighs and slowly opens comments*
Anyone remember those little plastic kits with the colored glue to make window clings???
I logged in just to say that watching that spider dance around while curling and shrinking thoroughly heebied my jeebies-
Ive done something similar before with food coloring and glue and the color faded quickly :( maybe liquid watercolor would be more lightfast
time to get some.. what? 0.o
hehehe

if the plastic has embedded texture does it remain post shrink
It's like the one from Wednesday!😊
Looks like the spider got a crucius spell
Shrinkin and a dinkin. 🤭🤭🤭😊
Wish there was a save button 😢. I emailed it to myself.
Can this be done with regular Elmer's glue?
Wow!

Can you actually make a big piece with this same technique? Like, maybe a full window?
Oh wow😮
I’ve been looking for months for plastic that’s recyclable 6. Can’t find any. It’s always a different number.
You dame me go on a half an year jourmy for find #6 plastic...i never reached my goal
Just wondering is that 250 degrees celcius or fahrenheit?
250 Fahrenheit. Its 120 Celsius
Can you use an oven to shrink them, or do you need to use a heat gun?
Neat!
Any specific places to find number 6 plastic? Maybe it’s where I live or something but I can never find them?
