In tech theater in school I learned how to make a brick effect with tape, joint compound, and paint. That’s it. Paint grout color all over, tape grout lines, spread joint compound, remove tape, let dry, paint bricks.

Out of curiosity, how do you paint the bricks? Film set art dep, we just use a ton of washes with spritzers and rollers on a white wall.
I was part of backstage theater in my school and we could only afford plywood and sponges. So what I did was use the sponge as a stamp to paint in textured bricks onto plywood. I was personally proud of how it turned out.

Looks great. My only thought would be to cut out the half bricks on the edges, so that the boards would interlock without a seam in the middle of some bricks.

I think it all turned out so well and realistic only due to the kitties, that put so much effort in guidance over you!💁🏻♀️ Otherwise you'd make so many mistakes and would end up with the mess! 😻Humans can't be trusted in such work, and animals know it well!😌😁😍😹💜💁🏻♀️
The only thing you could have done to make it even more extra, would be to cut the seam bricks to stagger them like they do with mosaic tiles so you don't have half bricks along the middle. 10/10 video anyways, not like I'll ever make this 😅

I love the wall. If the wall has it's own studs it is renter friendly. I would use it the sa.s say you are, as a back ground or just a wall in a room. A room divider, product photos, photo shoot background
