I appreciate the help. I'm sorting out if and how you link to the template or are you linking to a static note? I wouldn't mind linking to the last review or a new template but currently only know how to link to a specific note that will be old info by the next time I use the link. Thx!
You can create a new note from each template and place them all in a notebook for reference (I do). This way, you can always begin with the previous week's note and create a new one and link the previous week's to that new one.
Would you mind explaining more about the code for text expander where you auto entered the date, please Carl? That looks like a very useful thing to know.
Carl, Great video, I find all of your Social Media posts to be very helpful. After 33 years in the same profession, I have found new levels in my productivity this past year by watching your videos and listening to your podcasts. With the addition of Tasks in Evernote, I have been waiting to see your take on this feature. Do you have a video or podcast planned to talk about Tasks in Evernote? Thanks Greg
Hi Greg, I don't have any plans at the moment as I don't really see the point of them. I use a dedicated task manager so I don't have a need for tasks in Evernote as well. It would mean two places to check instead of one.
Hi Tony, I try not to be app specific in my courses as the focus is on the system rather than the tool. (With the exception of my Apple Productivity course) So, no there is nothing about building templates in Evernote in this course.
Thank you. This is very helpful. I'm curious about your project system. Do you review projects/meeting notes weekly and migrate tasks to your master project list and then to todoist?
Hi Carrie, Hmm not really. I'm very focused on my current projects--projects that are due this quarter--and as I am working in those frequently, I will add tasks that need doing when I am there.
As always very interesting! I should give Evernote another chance ;) Carl, Todoist doesn't unmark the subtasks if the main task is recurring.... do you have a workaround for this behavior or do you always leave the subtasks unchecked?
The only work-around I have is not to put recurring routines tasks into a parent / child set up. That would be a checklist so I keep those in Evernote.
Yes, in your Todoist test account in the video you use a recurring task "Complete Weekly Planning Session" with some subtasks. If you would check off these subtasks now, they would not be visible in the next recurrence of the parent task. Hence my question.
Hello Carl, and to all! I'm still running Evernote 7.1.4. If I upgrade to Evernote 10 from the app store, will Evernote 10 update all of my notes from the previous Evernote that I'm currently using, and keep everything in order? I want to upgrade to 10 but am a little bit worried if the program would delete any of my previous notebooks or notes! What should I do? Big Thanks!
I find all your Evernote videos really helpful.
Thank you, Muhammad. Always happy to help.

Thanks for this. I've learned about template creation and internal links. Both very helpful. 😊
You are welcome, Lewis

Here you go, Rob. Here's how I use Textexpander ua-cam.com/video/YujoVVexQ5c/v-deo.html

&Hank you Carl. This Video is real useful for me.
You're very welcome, Frank.
I use both Evernote and ToDoist and love this integration. Does that course you are talking about share how to build these templates?

Thanks, this was really helpful. Quick question… do you have a video about keeping a food log? I use OneNote and would like to do it there.
Hi Lori, I don't. I've never created one so I would not know where to start.
@@Carl_Pullein I understand, no problem.

Welcome!
Great video
Thank you.

Is Tasks option in Basic (Free) plan?
At the moment, yes. When the new plans come out, maybe not.
Why create this in Evernote when this seems what you also do in ToDoist?
This is the one I use. The examples I gave in Todoist was to show different ways people can create a weekly planning session checklist.

Yes. I've not heard of any problems. So, you should be fine.
