its so much nicer to have a dozer to help clean up,it really speeds up production, you can allmost double the amount of trucks loaded in a day with a clean up dozer to help
This was in the days of when, We’d all talk shit. To do the best job we could do. And take pride in a job. Miss those days! Hahaha Lazy fucks nowadays..
It's also a longer swing and slower to dump if the trucks are parked at a 90* angle. You want them 15-30* off the idler so you don't have to swing as far and can stick out while dumping for faster return to dig.
+/-0.07m with this thing mate, maybe you can watch and learn how to dig outside 90 and not regrade the same section 4 times for no reason. Making it look pretty doesn't pay the bills if it takes you all day to do it, a good operator can pull grade AND get production.
Depends which 385...and which 800 or 850's. Comparing a mass excavator in speed to general purpose machines is somewhat unfair. But if you wanted to compare the powerstripe 385 with man bucket to the 850 Deere and man bucket in dirt then you'd have a show! What do you know you could find both those videos on this channel!
Yep, third engine now too. This video was when the first one was dying, you can hear the RPM drop when I multifunction. The second one lasted 83 hours (oops) and the third one is going strong.
could u tell us what it is your doing and how a guy gets broken in on a excavator I have a year in part time on 330 and a 400 Hitachi just can't seem to get full time
I just can't get over how short that stick looks. But my god the power that must have. You going to be taking any time off over the holidays? Or just giver steady?
The TERRIBLE truth?????? What's wrong with having a clean up dozer working with an excavator??? It's the PERFECT combo. I mean it would be like TIM HORTONS and a JELLY DONUT,right???
I always thought that if the trucks park perpendicular to the 'hoe (or rather, so that the stick is parallel with the truck when it's time to un-curl and dump) it makes for a much easier target for the 'hoe operator. I guess the disadvantage is that the trucks can't simply pull in on-the-fly, they'd have to back up at some point. Also, you're obviously skilled way beyond the point where an easier target would matter.
OH yes,now i remember. And as a parting gift, boston gave canada the boston creme recipe. Now this ain't bad. We get heavy equipment,a donut comment and a history lesson all in the same vid. That's why i subscribed to this channel. The depths of the commentary knows NO bounds :)
love these videos been watching a while know. U should up load some longer run vids of these excavators. Its a neat camera angle and u stop it after only a couple trucks if people dont want to keep watching they dont have to. thanks
There are not many statement's about operating that can be characterized as an absolute. However a couple of such statements are " A good operator always makes it drain. Another is Only move it once or the last pass is the one we get paid for. And with out a dought, hit the nail on the head a good operator can get production and cut grade. Can I get an Amen?
Engine sounds terribad... btw nice video, nothing wrong on having a dozer helping out
That D11 pushing that nugget, was like a kitten playing with a ball of string.

Humor me and explain how the windshield got cracked.?
How on earth do you think Jason looks like JD? I mean uhhhh ahhh I uhhhh hahahahahahahahaha ummmmmm i dont umm you know uhhhhhh ahhhhh fuck.
Go big or go home with the cleanup dozer. That's some serious iron on that job.
That's because it is a ME or Mass Excavator configuration where it is fitted with the shortest boom and stick available for massive breakout power.

Learn what "Mass Excavation" is genius. If the bucket isn't puking dirt off three sides its not full enough. Same goes for trucks.

You obviously do not live in Canada. It's a "Boston Cream" donut thank you very much.
Yep, third engine now too. This video was when the first one was dying, you can hear the RPM drop when I multifunction. The second one lasted 83 hours (oops) and the third one is going strong.
This is well over 10,000 hours, and the rebuilt engine doesn't count; it had a flaw.
I love these titles hahaha
Holladay? What is this Hooliday? That ends in "day" so you work right?
We have two 375s that made it to 33,000. They have almost 37,000 now!
Yes, Boston used to belong to our empire in case you have forgotten ;)

C18/3408E actually. The 375 had the 3406E.
Hey mate love you're work. Just wondering what eye sight problems u have and if they effect u at all
Well that explains it. But 10,000h isnt all to much. have seen a Komatsu at 30,000h without engine rebuild.

My goodness sir, slow down on your coffee! We Americans like to savior our cup before being all productive and shit lol
Plenty to learn here woodbe production digger operators, sit back and enjoy the show.

i was wondering why it was lugging down so bad, what actually happened with engines 1&2? a c15 / 3406e is usually a damn good engine
No no, thank you for watching!
Short life equals 2 things in most cases, failed part or poor workmanship

About time you showed up.
The stick looks so small but the boom doesn't look very long either or is just a illusion
Bad rebuild.
Wait a minute....You live in CANADA but your favorite donut is BOSTON cream??????????
Correct, thanks for the subscribe!
And you guys say that Komatsu is shit...
