I agree with everybody that thinks operator is doing great job, the haters are probably unemployed, low brain skills, and jealous as hell. People around here are the same way, have the most neg. to say but don't even work( welfare). Quit being neg. support others and people might support you. You can do anything as long as you keep trying with a positive attitude. Well there's our small imput.
You have clearly never operated an excavator. This guy isn't even close to being dangerous. He's smooth and efficient and he's filling those trucks in a timely manor. About the only thing he could do to speed up production is stop the trucks a little sooner so he wouldn't have to swing as far. Of course, you wouldn't know that because you're too focused on his track coming off the ground...go operate a machine before you start critiquing.
How much is in the bucket every time (tonnes)? How does the truck driver know when to drive away, is there a signal somewhere? Thanks for posting. Big boys toys. Cool.
Hello to every one who follow this channel.I am in Rwanda .I need a professional internship for excavator and wheel loader.anyone who has that opportunity he may support me
This operator is loading the trucks just fine, don't know what is up with all the negative comments. So what if he isn't the fastest or most efficient, he's getting the job done. Good video!
Just because there are only 2 trucks doesn't mean it isn't a production job. Why would you have a truck stack 8 trucks deep to haul right out of our view? It doesn't matter how good the operator is, a 385 is a slow machine. Anyone who has actually run an excavator knows that this is proper loading technique. This guy is in no danger. He knows his machine better than all the arm chair operators critiquing his methods.
He's perfectly safe where he's sitting and turning his tracks 90 degrees would triple the time it takes him to back up when he's ready to move. This is a production job, not a "rookie who's scared of the bank" job.
He is set up correct way, i have never seen anyone dig set up like you describe. The frequency with which you have to retreat backwards from where you are digging can be every 2-3 trucks, the amount of moving around the way you describe would be a PITA and you actually end up being less stable at the critical point when you have a full bucket at reach out to the truck, your way would only have the support of the front of each track, not the full length on the ground when set up like in the vid
Big machines like that are fuckn sluggish. They are moving a ridiculous amount of weight in material. It takes a lot of power, hydraulics only work so fast, That operator is probably using that machine to it's full extent.
Dan the dirt guy and if you set up like that it takes twice as long to reset for next pass. Also if you stock pile more difficult material to cut you end up fluffing the loads and actually lose about 5% compactable material per load as well as now you have to burn fuel twice to get the same material in the truck. Better to accept the slower cycle time.
its called a digging set, you sit in one place for several rounds like i suggested then move back and dig. Or at least be set up where your not right next to a bank like that..only a suggestion.....but if you know everything you got this covered?!?!?!?
I agree with the danthedirtguy below- look at part in video 2.09- the machine almost tips over at long reach!- this operator is loading incorrectly- if he is going to be doing long reach loading then his tracks need to be pointing to truck not parallel- accident waiting to happen
production job? with two trucks? come on man lol I have seen the guys with the know it all attitude roll a excavator off a bank and into a truck because they loaded like this...turning your tracks towards the trucks isn't a bad thing...besides a good operator can move his machine in a heart beat and not miss a beat....it is a good video and ok operator....
OOO cmon man with your tracks toward the trucks .......you must have minimum 45 degrees angle from the edge of the track to ground...... by doing as you say you must fck the machine at every move you make toward digging, I know is most safely to work as you say but ...... Cmon :P
Yeah ppl dont realize these large machines arent made for high speed or they will tear themselves apart. Its about moving a larger amount dirt with less effort not how fast you can move dirt.
The only thing wrong that I see is that he's not stopping them in time. Usually I stop them when our cabs are lined up. So I don't have to swing as far
wie kann man mit so einem bagger geld verdienen total langsam schaut euch mal einen liebherr an in der gleichen to klasse an da werdert ihr schwindelig
Deere2154D VOLVO be lighter machine wagon , internal componentistca is subject to various failures . The price generally VOLVO is much cheaper than a CATERPILLAR , the dimensions are related , in a construction site has the reliability , maintenance is quick with certain times of spare parts . At the moment this globally it offers only with retailers CATERPILLAR , HITACHI LIEBHERR VOLVO depends on the sales area.
Over the years it has become CATERPILLAR name of reliability . Selling a used car of the cat is as much valid bank check. The various Doosan and Asians , used have no value . LIEBHERR discreetly holds its resale value , other VOLVO HITACHI machines can be purchased on a shoestring used , there is a reason :)
just a suggestion but turn tracks towards truck and only have 90 degree rotation or less when loading...stock pile hard material between trucks in the 90 degree area you just dug from...will be a stabler loading and if bank gave way you would be able to see/watch as you load. Loading with track next to bank is begging for serious problem.....:)
so why is everyone being so negative? looks like great fun , i think the dump trucks should be closer but what ever .
nice excavator

What an easy job

Riiiiiight, so how do you track backwards along the dig face when your tracks are 90 degrees to it?
Gotta have a smaller bucket on it ? I need 4 pass with a 365 to fill a 40t truck
He's perfectly safe where he's sitting and turning his tracks 90 degrees would triple the time it takes him to back up when he's ready to move. This is a production job, not a "rookie who's scared of the bank" job.

On the clock face that machine should move no further than ten to two and the trucks should be dripping material when they leave 👍
