I liked what he says in these few sobriety clips enough to make me stop. Having to use a substance to feel good sucks and it definitely doesn’t make me a better player. Life’s not that bad sober.

As long as you are not the vocalist I think it's okay to drink in a gig, but NEVER to get drunk only a few drinks, probably beer so you can control better how much you drink, vocalists should get away from drinking if you want to maintain your voice otherwise you will lose just as many awesome rock vocalists such as Axl, Steven Tyler stayed away from alcohol and look at him now 64 years and still got it.
There is no doubt in my mind that slash feels better being sober ........ and yet I can't help but feel that that all his best music is long behind him. Now that's not to say its all down to the drugs but I've seen so many artists talk about how they irked brought their issues and feel so much stronger and yet the music just dries up! Slash hasn't on anything of any note since about 1991. That's not to say he's not happy but something is definitely missing. If we wanted our rock stars sober ....
Slash's best Music is not behind him.Its just that Axl Arshole Sold him out,and he hasn't recovered Since.He Deserves to Create an Appetite 2 Album with his new Band.Cause Axl's Cover Band cant do it!!
