Fantastic job. You make it look so simple with a 4 min video. I'm sure a 4 hr video would be a more accurate view of the issues, troubleshooting and head-scratching that went into this conversion!

Can you make a video showing a little more how you made the pieces and the programming?

That is just awesome! Looks like it turned out great. Question: Did you machine the parts using the Emco Maximat Mentor itself?

Actually no, I used there mainly Dynamyte 2200 CNC, but some work was made by Emco too.

Hey, are you able to share the Cad files you used to make the parts for CNC - conversion?

I converted these to Solidworks 3D, but don't have any 2D drawings due the I machined parts by myself and I knew where to but screw threads and so on. Also some of things would be reasonable to do differently, like change the Z-axis spur gear to tooth belt to make modification a bit simple. First the idea was to be able to use machine also manually, but haven't done that after modification.

Hey. How much did such motors and controllers cost? I myself have an Emco Maximat V10-P, thank you in advance :)

Something like 200 euros (motors + controllers)

About how much the upgrade is costing?

Something like 200-250 euros, but do not include machined parts due the I made these by myself. Approximately it took something like 200-300 hrs to get it ready, but it's very difficult say how much it really took. I started conversion around May/June and it was ready on September (didn't do it all the time).

@@totalrobotics9723 Have you considered selling kits of the machined parts for other EMCO owners?

I think it's very difficult to do business about this due the volumes are so small. I do have 3D of needed parts in Catia-format, but no 2D-drawings due the I did these parts by myself. Also I should first import these files to Solidworks, remove some temporary features I added just for my SheetCam as location features, and then export clean files out as step. Otherwise it would cause confuse people, due the these were just temp. features, not meant to machine.
So, some time is anyway needed even to get out step-files, but normally machining companies requires to have 2D's too and it would take even more, time maybe 1-1.5 days minimum.
