This video might be my favorite video out of all the videos that you have produced! I found this review to be very descriptive as well as informing on the next generation of Arena tech suits that are made for multistroke swimmers like I! Love the vids, KEEP IT UP!!!
The review on the suit is very detailed! Thanks for reviewing it, the carbon glide is a suit that I've been waiting very long to launch and you just gave me a lot of references on whether is it a suit that I should buy so really a good jod and keep it up!!!
I’m not sunny so sorry for answering but from my experience I think the 200 free and 400 free would be good with this suit. I’m not sure about the 1500 because this suit still does provide a little bit of compression and I’ve never raced in that event. But the carbon glide was a great suit in my experience. And I’ve used it for like 15 races and it held strong.
Glad you liked. Core will be within the month, got a busy week ahead with the Middle East Champs (I'll be wearing Core then) so will just be when I can fit it in!
I’d love this too! Closed backed vs open back debate would be nice to get a pros view on 🤙🏻 and also their opinion on the women’s arena suits that come in two pieces
Hi! I loved your review. I was wondering which tech suits are best for distance events like the 500 free and which are the best for free sprints. Thank you!
Thanks for the review. So you say you would follow the size you use for your carbon air on this one? I got the 28, I have a 28 carbon air, and I might also think I could fit on a 26 carbon glide. However, I did not order 26 because I could not get in on a 26 carbon air back then. And my body measurements are roughly the same. Bottom line is that I am on the lower range of the 28 and on the higher range of the 26 body measures. My waist is 80 and hips 95cm. 26 is recommended for W 75-80 and H 90-95. 28 is W 80-85 and H 95-100.
Hi, first: thank you for the in-depth reviews, they are great! For me personally I have this question: I start focusing more on my mid-distance events and I’m wondering, which suit you could recommend for the 200/400IM and 200fly?
@@TheSwimsuitGuy Thank you! I think it's truly great that you a) take time to answer all the 'which suit' questions and b) actually give us a concrete answer. This helped a lot.
I love your reviews. They are really helpful. I have question. I hope you can help me. Which suit is for distance swimming? Thanks in advance. Keep it up🤗👍💪
Both have a lot of similar qualities actually. They are comfortable and versatile. The Arena has much better water repellency and longevity, the Finis has a little more buoyancy. Compression levels are pretty similar. The Finis is high waist and short of leg, the Arena is longer on leg but lower on waist!
Ones a sprint suit and ones a middle D/distance/IM suit. I'm a sprinter so I'm always going to say Pure Intent. That's a preference thing though and not because one is objectively better than the other.
I would recommend you to hold a phone in one hand and record sound from it if wired microphone is not the best option for you... especially if you have iphone- their microphones are pretty decent
Thanks for the tips. I know the audio was really bad especially on the second half. I used to use a wired mic but was really awkward to use when in a suit and I realised my phone mics were better if I was close enough, which I wasn't when I had the phone on the floor a couple of feet away from me 😬 I'll hold it in my hand as you said next time!
TheSwimsuitGuy hope it will help to improve your content!keep us updated by the new suits reviews🤙🏻 btw which suit you would recommend for 50m and 100m free - finis rival 1 or carbon air 1? I’m very limited in budget and I have swam earlier in arena carbon pro2 and carbon flex before but they become loose so I need an update
@@aleksisgrauduzis4459 for them events out of them two suits you'll probably have a good time either way. I'm gonna say the Rival because the taping gives it some snap. The Air is great but nowhere near compression of the Pro which I wish was still available!
I do need to more but I haven't worn enough in my initial reviews to talk about it. Also with so many suits to test I don't really get to give a suit a normal persons usage.
Maybe for 200 but I wasn't wowed by it in my 50 Breast (and think 100 would be the same) and it stood out as more favourable for Fly and Back in my opinion.
Expensive - yes, but is it the best? Do half square meter of high tech cloth make you faster in water or is it just a placebo effect and feelings of a swimmer? Is it scientifically proven and researched? These are the questions.
Suits make you faster, this is factual. Is there elements of placebo that help you mentally? Of course but they do factually make a difference to a degree.
I think the Ulta was by far the worst Carbon model to date. Check my tier list video and it's individual review for more on that. That being said as I mention in this video I don't think this is an Ultra replacement or a very similar suit.
Opposite ends of scale. The MR has huge compression. This has miniscule amounts. I wouldn't recommend the Mizuno for anything over 400, I'd recommend the Glide for 400+
Anyways uhm... I bought a whole bunch of shungite, rocks, do you know what shungite is? Anybody know what shungite is. No, no Suge Knight, I think hes locked up in prison. Talking shungite. Not sure if fully discontinued but not part of their current main racing line, you'll still be able to get it for a while!
