Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I simply close my eyes for BWV659 and am transported instantly to another place where the world's woes and troubles simply vanish. Total nourishment for the soul. BWV661 is simply stunning and terrific. Thank you once again, Richard. You truly DO inspire. x
My dear Richard, Brilliant playing as always. I am particularly fond of this chorale prelude. Bach was most certainly enthralled by it. As we near the beautiful season of Advent. This comes as indeed a treat. Thank you (the 661 is my favourite) David
Bravo! Thank you for posting these :) I have never played any of the Leipzig chorales, and I think you have convinced me I need to change that. As I listen and study recordings, *THIS* stands out as a definitive recording - beautilfully played, phrased, registered. Favorited!!
Hello from usa.. You inspired me to plan our Good Friday pre worship music for prayer/meditation. The Rotterdam organ is just incredible. IL put it in my Hapt lib. I can play 659. I do have an impressive multi speaker system to fill our large church. I know its advent but the music just works. IL be doing a show later with Disney's "The Bells of Notordamn"
Excellent interpretation Richard ! I played bwv659 on my channel, less well than you, but in a funny way, have a look ! Congratulations Richard, and holly advent to you and your family !
@@beautyinsound I knew that of the Scots and their kirks as my paternal grandmother was a Stewart. But I didn’t realize it showed up like that in other languages.

Please forgive my now damaged memory, is St Laurenskirk in Rotterdam a church or the Cathedral?
It's a church. Kirk means church, so its St Lauren's Church.

Laurenskerk Rdam is een Protestantse Kerk (en daarmee geen RK kathedraal)
Excellent playing but very muddy sound
