The 100 Prisoners Puzzle

- What if 100 of our favorite UA-cam channels faced sudden, total demonetization of their channels -- and the only way to save them was to play a game of chance that required all 100 UA-camrs to win what amounts to a coin flip?
If that sounds hopeless, that’s because it pretty much is. Sorry to MaxMoeFoe, CallMeCarson, Danny Gonzalez, and all the rest. It's just math.
The odds against 100 successful rounds are astronomical, but that’s the scenario in our version of a computer science problem with roots going back to 2004. Exploring the possibilities of combinatorics and the context of permutations allows us to vastly improve the odds of our 100 UA-camrs’ overall success without improving their individual chances. By recognizing that the game actually contains a series of chains within each permutation, I develop a strategy for our 100 UA-cam heroes that will vault their chances of keeping their channels from being demonetized all the way from impossible to… surprisingly good.

So I was with you until near the end. How does each individual player still only have a 50% of finding themselves, while the 100 players as a whole increase from nearly 0% to 31%? If each player still has only a 50% chance, which is the same as random selection, why wouldn't those numbers be put into the equation the same way that results in the group having a 0.00...008% chance?
I'd like to see the math on that myself because it's kinda neat if it legit still ends up at 50%, but it's not instantly implausible. Doing this scheme makes it so the events are no longer independent, so you can't just multiply their probabilities when you want to get the probability of them all happening as different outcomes for different people start to clump together. Here's an example:
Two buckets have balls in them, white balls in one, black balls in another. The 4 players don't know which bucket has which. Players individually enter the bucket room, select a bucket, blindly take a ball from it and then move to the waiting room as the now vacant bucket room has the next player enter, and so on, until they each have a ball. A player wins if they have a white ball, loses if they have a black ball, and they all get a special bonus extra prize if they all won.
An individual player has a 50% chance of winning. There's 4 players, so the chances that they'll get the extra prize if they all pick randomly is only 6.25%. Players that already took a ball out can't relay information to subsequent ones what color balls their chosen bucket has. But what they can do is agree beforehand: "let's all pick from the bucket on the left". What does that do to the chances of an individual player winning? Well, nothing at all, it's still 50%. Yet suddenly the chance of everyone winning and thus them getting that extra prize jumps up to 50%.
The strategy means that the successes and failures are no longer independent. If there isn't a cycle longer than 50, then everyone succeeds. If there is, the at least 51 in the cycle fails, but the rest succeed, which is why the individual probability of success is still greater than the group's probability.

Now consider this:
What if the players opened the eggs randomly, regardless of what was inside them, but they numbered the eggs themselves in the following manner:
During every round, the player numbers the first egg after the number they need to find in order to win. Every other time they open an egg, they number it after the number inside the previously opened egg. Thus, each player gives different numerical names to the eggs they open.
The same logic applies to this alternate scenario. Each player started with the egg that corresponds to their number, and follow it with the egg with the same number title as the number found inside the previously opened egg.
Would naming the eggs a certain way change the probability of finding a certain number? Or would choosing 50 of 100 eggs randomly result in a near guaranteed probability of finding the right one regardless?
But it gets weirder.
What if all the players chose the same eggs as each other whilst numbering them the same way? It would be literally impossible for over 50 people to find their number, yet at the same time, almost guaranteed!
