We have the same Bike, is the camera a DJI Osmos? I a have mount for the bike and a shoulder strap, prefer the local Coffee than SB..i see you're whizzing around like a local. Great video
@@User-kjxklyntrw I’ve been in China 15 years. I’ve explored so many places in China. I just didn’t film it because it was long before I had a UA-cam channel
Only at 5k? Damn. I think you need to add mandarin and English subtitles on your videos and then put an icon on your video in case it gets uploaded on a Chinese app. I see you working hard though. Keep at it cowboy.
Starting the day in China as an expat must bring some unique experiences! What part of your morning routine do you enjoy the most in your new surroundings?
@3:02 cool bike! I like the POV. Reminds me of the MTB days with my GoPro Chest mount. Regarding the car license plate, I assume the "green" means EV. What does the blue plate mean?
Another question: What city in China has weather similar to Southern California? Meaning, low humidity, and more sunshine. I don't mind the occasional rain though.
John, why Starbucks? I really like Luck In myself. It's usually 1/3 of the cost, and tastes just as good if not better. No judgements, I'm just curious.
@@viewpointabroad that's fair enough. I did notice that a lot. So many places don't open before 9 or 10am. I thought that was just a Guangdong thing. I live in a small city and thought it was just us lol I guess it's most of China.
The e-bike situation seems less insane than Guangdong. People were actually stopping at traffic lights (!) Noone seemed to ride on the footpaths. And you had your own charging point too ! If I didn't know you were in a new city I wouldn't have known. One thing about Chinese cities outside of the major historical centres like Shanghai/Beijing etc, is that they all bulldozed their historical buildings and now all look the same. Same shops, same architecture. Whereas western towns and cities are individually distinct, even if they are only afew miles apart. But I guess that's reflective of our cultures. Western culture celebrates the greatness of the INDIVIDUAL, Chinese culture celebrates the greatness of SOCIETY.
Good mic, no echo in such an empty place.
Awesome Video John, The new camera looks great bud! Keep it up

I didn’t know there was a mount for the DJI. I’ll have to search it.
China has natural wonder and beautiful tourism spots similar with USA with it own cultural vibes, if you have some times , you need to explore it

Green EV , blue is gasoline
Probably gives you something to do and to get out of the house, I usually make my own tea or coffee.
@@penname. yes, just get out the house and see people moving around. Nice relaxing way to get the day started.
Bro just ignoring the left turn lane and then taking the crosswalk was crazy yall driving on a whole new level there lmao maybe do a video on that lol
How did you mount the camera? It worked well.
On a necklace

I’ve never lived in California but my California friends say Shenzhen. (I’ve lived in Shenzhen )
Weather like, kunming has the perfect climate. But If you can't live far from ocean, qingdao is a good choice, But it can get cold in winter.
Xi'an, Urumqi, Kaifeng these cities have lots of sunshine and dry climate, so you don't feel very hot in summer when you are in shades.
