  • This is my first time to Tibet, and I am more than excited to show you the real life of people in Lhasa - the capital city of Tibet and the spiritual center of Tibetan Buddhism!
Tibet is the highest region on earth with an average elevation of 4380 meters.
I was afraid that I might get altitude sickness, but luckily I didn't!
I went to Bakor street, the old city center, and the meeting point for many pilgrims. The scene of circumambulation around Jokhang Temple is just spectacular! Then I tried some authentic Tibetan food and continued roaming around..
Join me on this new adventure in a new province - Tibet :)

Loved your Tibet vlog. Unfiltered, genuine, and judgement-free.
One thing I’d add is that while you’re right that there are hui muslims in Tibet, the mosque that you show and a few other mosques in Lhasa were actually built by Tibetan Muslims who’ve been in Lhasa for more than 450 years during the 5th Dalai Lama’s reign. At that time, Muslims from Kashmir had started settling in Lhasa for business prospects and married local Tibetan women. Now the general term to describe them is Tibetan Muslims.

In reality....if not saved by China, Tibet will surely be annexed by India... a country which ignores most of its own people' prosperity, very poor public & town management (except for their light skinned high kasta communities in New Delhi and several cities)... or Tibet will be led by pedophile Dalai Lama and enter the same league as its other poor neighbours...

The altitude of Lhasa is only 3,600 meters, and most people will not feel too much discomfort as long as they do not run, climb mountains and other sports. If the altitude exceeds 5,000 meters, most people will have headaches, dry nasal passages, and cannot fall asleep or sleep well at night. To be honest, Lhasa just needs a simple look. The county towns on the Tibet National Highway are the most beautiful.

Watching your videos makes me question what I read in the news. I read abt the suppression of Tibetan language and cultures. Same for Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia. But when I watch travel vlogs of these places I see people who can only speak the local language and I see strong preservation of local cultures - in their costumes, on road signs, their daily activities etc.
Like we don't see aboriginal Australian languages, Maori language, native American languages, Polynesian languages commonly used in Australia, NZ, Hawaii, mainland America etc. Let alone seeing people wearing the traditional costumes day to day like many native Tibetans, Uyghurs, Mongolians.
Pretty impressive I must say! And thanks for showing us China. Tibet and Xinjiang or both on my bucket list. Hope that's not too far away!

@@chinolee121 In reality....if not saved by China, Tibet will surely be annexed by India... a country which ignores most of its own people' prosperity, very poor public & town management (except for their light skinned high kasta communities in New Delhi and several cities)... or Tibet will be led by pedophile Dalai Lama and enter the same league as its other poor neighbours...

it is always highly interesting to watch your videos about Tibet. During the time between 2010 and 2019 I visited Tibet/Qinghai as well as Garze/Aba in Sichuan province every year. It was kind of my hobby which I enjoyed tremendoulsy. Fortunately I never had problems with high altitide disease although I visited places upto 5.800m. In meantime I am too old for such trips and nowadays I enjoy the mountains of Guizhou and central provinces as well as occasionally Xinjiang.
Once again many thanks for your videos.

I am very glad that you are interested in Chinese culture, if you still want to explore the unknown beauty of China, I recommend you come to Guilin. There are picturesque karst landforms, the cost is very low, if you want to take some time off you can enjoy a leisurely time here at a very low cost. But in the city's scenic spots, merchants may rip you off for being a foreign face, so it's best to do a bit of forethought.
