This needs more views and you need more subscribers. Amazing job explaining everything step by step. I'm trying to learn flying and your knowledge would be great for a full tutorial of all sorts of different things. Thanks!
Interesting video, thank you. I have learned a few things from you. One point though. DO NOT put the Fuel Condition Lever in Ground (Low) idle in flight. This will limit engine response to quick demands for power - as in Go Around. From the POH "Prior to takeoff, the FUEL CONDITION Lever is moved forward to the HIGH IDLE position (approximately 65% Ng ) to remain in this position until after landing. The higher gas generator idle speed for flight provides faster engine acceleration when adding power (from an idle condition) on approach or for a balked landing go-around."
Very helpful video, thanks. I'm newish to flight simulators and watching as many videos as I can to learn. Yours was one of the best ones for explaining things. Much appreciated. I've subscribed now 😄
I have been watching a lot of different videos for fS this is by far the best. I look forward to viewing more. I am some what new to MSFS and you just made it more enjoyable. Thank You.
Thanks mate, this was very helpful. I am trying to get my hands on the garmin Stuff as I am only good with the pre war props so far. The 208 will be my future lorry, I guess.
I just attempted to follow your instructions (different airports though) and found it very easy to follow! Except one thing and I hope you can help. When your on the approach leg the garmin screen was black with a white circle etc. How did you get that? Mine shows topographic and didn't show the TOD mark which had me frantically scrabbling what to do lol. Still made a good (but hard lol) landing as your video was extremely helpful. Apologies if I'm being dumb but just getting the hang of flight sims
No Beta mode on landing? Sounds fantastic in XP I’m comparison. Would recommend using the performance charts for engine and prop settings, using alt and temp to get the desired speed and or fuel pph.
Great video. Would you say the 208 is the best "next step" for someone looking to move into high-performance/complex planes? Been mostly flying the 152 and 172 and modded piper warrior and want to start learning more advanced stuff!
Looks like VFR, does SIM have ILS (elevation), localizer (azimuth), marker beacon sensors blue-amber-white? I saw them in a real one across from his left arm.
Thanks for the video, very informative. I tried the EX version on flightsim to, but I can't get the pilots nose, glasses and mouth to disappear. Looks like you got the whole body to disappear. Any link or help to aid in getting rid of it? I've had to go back to the stock plane.
I flew my Bonanza v35B vtail out of 5R4 to KGPT practicing my vor to vor navigation today. I like 5R4 I'll be flying out of there more often from now on. Come visit my home field sometime. Maybe I'll see you around KRMG
Question -- VNAV - Does it matter when you turn VNAV on? The Magenta number next to your Altitude shows what looks like 300ft, not sure. What is it & why does it read 300ft. You set your altitude to Zero after you turn VNAV on, Does it matter that the Magenta number is 300ft and you set altitude to Zero? Thanks & very helpful video. I'm just not clear on a few things.
I went there and noticed they took it down. I cannot find another one, but if you look in the POH it will have charts for performance that are pretty easy to read.
I do have a question. I fly on 1st gen XB1. I have the same G1000 mod you do. When I set my approach at cruising altitude, it says load, alongside activate. Do I use load and then activate at TOD when ILS to visual?
Load adds it to your flight plan but doesnt interrupt your current waypoint heading. Activate immediately switches to the approach procedure and takes you to the initial approach fix or first waypoint in the approach procedure. So basically which one you choose depends on when in your flight you set up your approach and how far you are away from the destination airport. Not much point activating approach if you are 60 miles from the airport for example.
@@cbcdesign001 Alrighty, so maybe you can tell me what mistake I made in an instance: I loaded the approach into the flight plan before takeoff, then attempted to activate it once reaching TOD, and nothing happened. Usually in MFS if nothing happens in AP mode I missed a step. What did I miss? Once you load the approach, on the screen it will say Activate Approach instead of Select Approach, and when I try to activate the nav system doesn't register any change, and it definitely doesn't activate anything.

Best 208 tutorial I have ever seen. Literally learned the answer to every question I had.
Delivery Brilliant! Calm and no panic, information superb, will watch more TY
The first tutorial I have seen where we dont see an over torque warning on the PFD. Great job, I have learnt a lot.
Big props for this video! Would have never touched this plane until I got into Neofly and needed help learning this. you're amazing!
This was very helpful - thorough, detailed, simplified - thanks big dog

Thank You.
Great video. You cleared up a lot of questions I had about how to set power and making approaches, especially visual approaches. Thanks
Thank you so much, that helped me enormously to get to grips with this plane.
Thanks Fat Mike. Learned so much here from you. Well done!! Keep them videos rolling.
The better explaination i saw for this aircraft, great !
Thanks for making this. Very helpful.

In case pilot passed out like in FL, need to learn this plane.

As good as it gets.... Superb video....thank you very much.....

great job Mike and i subscribed.
Thanks Mike, great tutorial!
many thanks...(and remember, kids ...cold and dark , the fuel shutoff is already ON (IN) )

Fascinating!

I watch videos on how to use that Garmin and go into mfs2020 and go BLANK . Navigation, ILS, ifr, etc are so interesting
easy to understand, thanks!
Hi, great video on flying this aircraft. Could you kindly let have the starting airport I'D?

How do you get the middle screen to show that kind of map instead of The default one
Watching Highway Patrol looking for speeders flying a Cessna 206 turboprop on ADS-B Exchange.
When i start up my nav is always on vor only and i cant for the life of me figure out why.... i vant switch to gps for some reason
Knots is always used, but I get it. Kts=MPH x 1.151 so each 100 Kts just think in head + 15 = 115 MPH.
How do you turn on altitude select mode, when I move the dial it does nothing
Your reference to "Performance Helper" website does not show the Caravan as one of the available aircraft. Is it available somewhere else?
I went there and noticed they took it down. I cannot find another one, but if you look in the POH it will have charts for performance that are pretty easy to read.

Why put ignition on during start up? With starter on u already have ignition on
Dear Mike in which moment exactly I have to apply the Approach mode?.....I'd appreciate it very much Indeed.....
