- As 15-year-old Carly Gregg’s trial began Monday afternoon, state attorney Kathryn White Newman provided the jury with insight as to why the state believes the 14-year-old is guilty of murdering her mother. Newman said that Carly’s friend revealed that he was worried about her prior to the murder and the warning signs were there. Additionally, Carly later called her friends for help after allegedly murdering her mother, and later showed one of her friends her mother’s dead body.

The parents of that friend need to watch her as well.
Your friend shows you their mother that they just murdered and you hang out in the backyard while your friend attempts to murder her stepdad?
Not normal behavior.
That's exactly what I thought! She stayed long enough to wait and watched as her friend shot the step-dad and ran off the backyard.
Yep she's just as bad ill bet
Schoking
I’m happy I’m not the only one wondering about that deal. Plus, the male witness said he still considers her a friend. Huh? Umm, NOT! 😳
People sure are more loyal to each other than any friends or family I’ve ever had! I’d be feeling horrible that I told the mother; it got her killed. It may have eventually happened anyway, but maybe not that day and maybe things would have gotten better eventually. We’ll never know.
absolutely agreeee, awful
That girl doesn’t care, her entire demeanour says I did what I did, I don’t care. We as a society need to stop making excuses for evil.
Yes but she’s 14 years old - why were the parents so strict - she was very troubled - there is no way she had a normal life
@@scarletred8888I can’t work out what her life was like yet, but the self harm is usually caused by something happening to someone.

@scarletred8888 Strict why because they took her vspes away from her lol Little girl doesn't know what having strict parents is. She's nothing but a spoiled entitled little brat that wanted to do what she wanted without consequences. And alot of people who self harm do it because they like pain
@@heatherann1560💯. So sick of peoples excuses for evil deeds. Many of us grew up with issues. It's life. We don't murder.
Oh please, the footage of her crying makes my blood boil. Most of us have led hard lives. That is no excuse for evil. This girl is pure evil.
Absolutely not a single tear drops from that demonic girl there. She tries, and tries putting that constipated face, but its impossible for her to cry. No matter how hard she tries, no tears come out of her eyes because, people with NPD (in the stage in which this girl is), are incapable of feeling love and the other normal human emotions that normal people experience (Marshall, 2022). What happens is, she crossed from sociopathy to psychopathy by killing her mother. That’s psychopathic behavior. There is no cure for psychopathy.
I completely agree. There are times watching the beginning of trials, and when looking at the defendant, it sends a cold chill down your spine. This was one of those times.
The awful thing is that I hate that I felt that from a mere child. What is going on in this world?? Is something in these vape pens different from regular pot?? I just don’t understand, and it’s terrifying. 😞

yeah she has a high level of manipulation and evil pouring out of her
You hate the fact she shows emotions and cry?
I think its a goos thing she does, it shows she will be taken responsible for her coward actions and it shows she had love for her mother EVEN if she took her life
That girl shows no emotion whatsoever!
Probably mental issues….
Nothing real anyway. I wonder if psychiatrists would call that a psychopathic stare.
Yeah something is amiss most definitely.
Thanks to the drugs given to her.

What a monster of a person she is!! The friend should also be charged as an accessory. She saw the mother's body and knew her friend was also going to murder the stepfather, yet did nothing about it. She could have phoned 911 from her cell phone, or run to the neighbors to inform them.
STOP IT!
Yes. She is culpable in some way. If he had died perhaps she would have been charged.
I agree with you 100%
There may not have been enough time and maybe the friend was scared? Carly did have a gun ya know?
No evidence she met the criteria for being an accessory to murder. Calm your titties
Hold this little monster accountable.
To have a loaded gun under a mattress which is accessible to a fairly disturbed teenager is madness to say the least. I thought weapons had to be locked up in your home?
They are supposed to be, but apparently many people are way too trusting with family members.
No. A teen knows better and should stay out of her parents room . No justification. She's responsible and her friend who waited on the yard to kill the stepfather is a red flag .
@@terisaclothier2588This is scary. People have guns by their bed, for intruders. Whomever expects your 14 old child turning against you? Seems like, people cannot discipline their kids anymore. Kids being 14, but acting like 18. Wanting to be treated, like an adult, while not paying rent etc. Living under mom's roof, being 14, means: mother's rules.
Each state has different laws regarding if fire arms are required to be locked. It’s also important to remember every second matters when an intruder is in your home.

Why isn't the friend being prosecuted for accessory to murder
Because her actions didn't meet the criteria for being an accessory to murder lol, I'm surprised you couldn't put that together yourself....but anyway, you're welcome
Probably because she is testifying against her. It doesn't sound like the friend had any direct involvement other than being in the wrong place at the wrong time. If she's testifying against her, the state probably agreed to not prosecute her.

The prosecutor needs to work on her style. It’s not “you’ll hear”.
It’s “the evidence will show”….
“You’ll hear”. Over and over. Very distracting.
We believe the testimony will show she texted something along the lines of " When will you be home, Honey"? They would have the texts from the phone, so the evidence will show...... (exactly what it said) not something along the lines of.
It’s like she’s drunk. Oh, and her cheap dramatic mannerisms.
Heard it every 20 seconds, quite annoying
Well this is not what bothers me, her accent, delivery or whatnot... it is when she says ipod, instead of ipad. Ipods are headphones. I think she meant ipad, but kept saying ipod.
She is a psychopath. Prison.
For life with no chance of parole. You cannot rehabilitate someone with no conscience. I doubt that will happen, unfortunately.

Carly wanted to be thought of as a cool kid that her peers admired. She needed to do risky things to gain attention. All was about her. Sociopath and a narcissist capable of murder.
I really wonder about this case. I'm 50 and two year ago I also experienced psychosis after a medication change. There is no way to describe it to anyone that hasn't experienced it themselves. I, however, anticipated trouble with the medication switch and recruited two adults to spend a full two weeks with me and my daughter. I have no idea what I may have done if I was unsupervised. Doctor's really need to educate patients better when making med switches. It's not safe to do alone.
Wow. No idea. Glad that you made it through.
There's a big difference between psychosis and psychopathy! She did a lot of evil stuff that showed her true character.
@@reneegardner2286 There certainly is! I'm just starting to follow this case and wondering which it will be.🧐🧐🧐
@CheshireCat-w5s her actions show psychopathy not psychosis. I've suffered from psychosis myself and been hospitalized for it. You're literally out of your right mind. She knew enough to call a friend to show the body and flee the scene afterwards she's not insane she's a sociopath imo
I have a friend who experienced psychosis & behaved violently as a result. But my friend's behavior during that time was completely erratic & extremely out of character. Carly's behavior is calm & clearly calculated. She's a psychopath & lacks a conscience, she's not someone experiencing a temporary altered state.
Why isn't the friend facing charges ? Ohh because the state needed a witness???? That's why!!! That friend should have been charged !

It is scary to think that yesterday the judge told the defense to have witnesses ready after lunch. They need more evidence presented or Carly is not going to be going to prison.
