Just found your site tonite and subscribed. I'm gonna go check out the rest of your videos. I look forward to see what you have going on and see what I can learn from you. I enjoyed this video keep them coming.
Mentioning metallics and color shift. I make my own. Between using white pearl and pearlex pigments you can make some cool paints that do it all. I don't know if that helps but I been doing that for a while. You can literally just add metalic paint to any paint and have a metalic. Or add pearlized white to any paint and make it pearlized. Or add pearlex of any 38 colors to paint and have the pearlized part a different color as well as the interference colors and dou colors make color shift. Also you can add two colors of pearlex and get a color shifting ability.
My biggest probblem painting is no lure turns out the same. I can paint six at the same time and they all end up different shades in the end. More or less pearl. More or less metallic. But they all catch fish. I don't think I have painted a bait I couldn't catch a fish on. I have a bluegill I painted in a 2.5. I always say "now it's going to get real." When I put it on. It has never not caught a fish in 4 years. Might not be the fish I want all the time but it produces no matter wat day it is. 37 colors on it. Takes 2 hours to paint correctly.
You make it look so easy. I just started air brushing baits. Don't think I have any hair left
very good

Adam Johnson yes! I use metallic pigment and pearlex all the time 😉 This is an old video and back then I probably didn’t. Thank you for the tips!!

I also really like the content on your wed page very nice paints. Idea you should put the link to your sire on each video you make.
Brian yes I should and thank you! I am not a very good video editor or content manager 😂
Have you ever tried devcon 2ton epoxy? I coat my lures with one coat of that stuff and it is very durable and non yellowing.
Crankbait Baron no I actually use AlumiUV now. But I have known people who use Devcon with good results.
Guess should finished watching video it answered my question lol

Hi from ARIZONA
Queen Jane hello and thank you for subscribing!
Looking for a blank that closely Represent A Smithwick p10 any ideas would be helpful. TIA..
David Schaller I do not know of any blank available for that lure, or anything similar.
Will createx opaque work for general lure painting if so what do you reduce it with? Thanks
Yes Createx is great! You don’t have to reduce. But if you do, 2012 Wicked reducer works well.
One thing you never really show your work close up or the completed ones on live I watch every Friday night please share the wealth lol
Jamie Mclures I did Saturday! I will show finished product more often. I do show closeups of the lures I’m working on during the show as they progress
Created auto air black will not clog your brush as bad
timg185 I haven’t tried that. Someone told me Wicked was better than regular createx and I have found that to be false 😆
I use a lot of craft paints too. Some colors spray better than others.
Do u sell your baits and if so how much
Derick Shelton they are Available at www.coloradocustomlures.com. Feel free to message me at coloradolures@gmail.com with custom requests

Airbrushed for years, please get a ventilation system, using acrylics will not save your lungs, I really cannot paint any longer mine are toast.
C Baeseman I wear a respirator when I’m not doing videos and we are now moved into a shop with ventilation. Thank you and I understand your concern ❤️
