Kelly was as simple as a door, no mystery, no inner world. She has her own dramatic backstory that explains essence of her personality, but nevertheless, she doesn't become a deeper character from this. Of course, they can stay together for life and get married, but Dylan won't be happy. Brenda had depth, her inner worlds intersected with Dylan, Brenda was an interesting girl. But show did an excellent job of portraying the reality that women like Brenda often scare men away. As a result, men follow the path of least resistance and choose people like Kelly. But they're inferior and unhappy with such a woman. Youth leaves, physical attraction disappears with it, and suddenly it turns out that facing old age with a woman like Kelly is still torture, but there is no turning back, the choice has long been made.
Back when this was happening I did not realize how depressing it was but now that I'm an actual adult I realize how incredibly depressing this entire show is
True, kinda like how it Kelly & Dylan always seemed to work when Brenda wasn't around, but whenever she was, K/D NEVER stood a chance. And never did they ever have anything on Brenda & Dylan's chemistry!
They were both single when they got back together in season 4. To all you B/D fans, even Brenda knew Dylan wanted to be with Kelly and told Dylan to get her back.

They're gross...I wanted to like them in these later seasons and I just couldn't they really bring out the worst human qualities out of each other. It's like lust lust lust...no respect for themselves. So unhealthy.
I known that Dylan and Kelly will never get married together because they don't connect with each other because he still loves Brenda because he keeps bringing Brenda name up every time he speak to Kelly he bringing Brenda name up to Kelly that tell me that how much he still loves Brenda

From the body insecurities/anorexia, to the cult, to the house fire, to the drugs, etc you cant possibly true to say the character kelly was simplistic when in fact she was complex and had layers. Please elaborate on Brenda's depth I'll wait. The show portrayed her as a midwestern goodie two shoes who became a rebel and used Dylan to at times get back at her parents. When to Paris and consensually cheated on Dylan. Finished high school, had the typical un interesting college life. And moved to Europe to get away from everyone. Thats considerably less depth than Kelly 🤷🏽♂️. Oh and just so we are clear: Dylan met Brenda in high school. Dylan and Kelly ahd been friends taking the same classes since Elementary school. So the friendship/relationship depth was far more vast for Dylan and Kelly. That last part about looks and old age didnt happen in the show. Maybe you're projecting about your own experiences? 🤷🏽♂️

Brenda konnte nicht mit Dylan umgehen dafūr war sein charakter und leben zu komplex... Kelly nun, alles was sie durchgemacht hat,was sie geprägt hat und wie sie gewachsen ist machte ihre person interessant...Kelly und Dylan kennen sich schon lãnger bevor es Brenda gab...Es gab auch ein grund denke ich warum man Kelly und Dylan soviel durch machen lies...Ihre freundschaft / beziehung prägte beide und hatte eine tiefe die nicht mit Brenda zu vergleichen ist...
