Hi from Australia. AC/DC are also known as Acca Dacca here. The glorious Bon Scott is indeed great, but it was Dave Evans who was the original lead singer of this band, which formed in 1973, Dave’s stint was not long however and Bon took over until his passing on 19th February 1980. Then Brian Johnson took over and is still the lead singer. Bon’s family wanted the Band to go on after his tragic loss due to the consumption of alcohol, and being left to sleep it off in a car. unfortunately he chocked on some vomit. So very sad. There is a statue to Bon in Fremantle, Western Australia. He had also been in the bands called the Valentines and Fraternity. RIP Bon.
ACDC with Bon on their way up was just the best. They lived life real hard and it took Bon too early, but has left some timeless memories like this one to savior.
19 stone is HUGE! 120kg!! Not a big AC/DC fan but have always liked them, especially with Bon Scott, just not my usual genre. But especially their early shows have so much energy and commitment to their music. Bon was alot older than the other guys and had tried to be a lead vocalist in a rock band with mild success, but had gone off the rails and seriously injured on a motor bike accident and all but given up his dream when a chance introduction to a new band of kids ended up like this!!!
Well, guess what guys, AC/DC is actually back touring again!!!!! 🎉 50+ years and they are still rocking and rolling!!!! Unbelievable!!!! The 2024 world tour will see them start off playing in Europe and if they are still alive after that, coming to the USA. They are playing shows in Germany, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, England, Slovakia, Belgium, France & Ireland this Summer!!!! And yes Brian Johnson is still the lead singer at 76 going on 77 in October and Angus is still moving and picking at 69 years of age and Steve Young (nephew of Angus & Malcome’s) since 2018 has covered the rhythm band perform ever since!!! RIP Malcom!!! ❤️ Life is good if you’re an AC/DC fan. So says Austin Tx!!! 🎸🎸🎸 😎🍸
Bob Scott is the best singer and made live performances great for fans When you hear ac dc in 1976 you would ask for they told there to secluded change could not play them
My Mum was on a flight from England to Australia and they were on the plane - she had no idea who they were because it wasn't her style of music but she said they seemed like lovely men who signed autographs and took pictures with people with no complaints - she was impressed by them. I remember the clip for "Do They Know It's Christmas" where they seemed like naughty schoolboys behind Jodi Whatley and Bananarama clearly checking out the girls behinds. I think that sort of sums those guys up nice but slightly raucous boys at heart. One of the older members (bassist Alan Lancaster) settled in Australia and joined the Party Boys and had a number 1 hit with a cover of "He's Gonna Step On You Again" which is worth checking out if you've never heard it.
@@alphaomega2117 did you also know that John Brewster from the Angels was also in Party Boys aswell (when he sacked from the angels) The Angels pay royalties to Quo for Am I Ever Going to See your face Again due to the similarities to a song of theirs called Lonely Night.

@@clmac529 Yeah I remember he was in the PB's they had so many people coming and going that it's hard to remember who was in it and when.
