So far the first book was super cute and funny definitely a 4.9/5 for me sooo good the second one so far is really good!
one of my favorite book series is by Melanie Dickerson. she rewrites Disney stories like beauty and the beast cinderella, the little mermaid, etc. but they are with a twist and there's no magic and no spice. I would highly recommend them for a cute short romance series!

also i have SO many historical fiction recommendations… it’s one of my favorite genres and it’s so underrated! the book i suggested has been the highest rated in our group so far this year!! it’s called “salt to the sea” by Ruta Sepetys, but she also wrote another one called “between shades of grey” which is also one of my favorites :-) i also recommend “the nightingale” by kristin hannah!! one of my all time favs ❤️

shadow and bone that trilogy is one of my favourite trilogies ever. They are long chapters and slow which I will forewarn you but it is amazing and each chapter is FULL of action
Tracking how many pages you read each day is such a good idea! I switched from Goodreads to the app Storygraph to track all my reading and tbr and stuff, and if you update your progress whenever you read something you also get a fun graph of how many pages you read each day (plus the total of every month)! Especially if you read quite a lot it's so fun to actually see how much you read and which days you read the most. And instead of only setting a reading goal of how many books I wanna read a year I also added a goal of how many pages, since books can vary so much in length I feel like that is a more accurate representation of how much I read or want to read.
