Great job on the clip great knock too remember a fire here where I live now back in the early 90’s that came in as an active fire alarm that ended up a major 5 th alarm fire Void spaces
Merry Christmas and happy new year to you! Looking forward to a much better year, this year has been a horrible year for me. I might be ordering a shirt and maybe a hoodie, if available, soon. I was unemployed for a while, just went back.to work, so it might be a little while. I'd want a shirt from 2023 as well, if you have any more left. I'll let you know when i'm ready to order. Also, when are you going to do more of the videos of you just driving around? I miss those videos. I can live vicariously through them, and maybe learn my way around Jersey, for once..lol

Can u still help now? I mean if u can't, is there anything you can do with a firehouse since you know ur way around? ...if my questions aren't too personal for this open platform.
They had heavy fire out the window before I arrived this was only a second alarm. They had extension to all floors. Large commercial building. I didn’t see anything to unnecessary all truck company’s were put to work with venting and opening up the floors and roof. Manpower at 2 am isn’t the best so more trucks the better. Could they have handled with half the crews maybe, but also fire coulda got way more out of hand. More trucks don’t hurt anything if you got it use it.
I think it’s way more dangerous when companies egos get in the way of calling mutual aid sooner especially some towns that could really benefit from it.
I can't imagine how they can get by with a volunteer fire department, I would think the fire insurance providers for these commercial structures would demand paid firefighters. I mean just in the small town I live in we're starting to move towards paid firefighters because we're getting some larger shopping and commercial buildings and the fire insurance is refusing to cover the buildings unless they have guaranteed fire response within a specific amount of time, and the only way to do that is paid firefighters because he will be in the station at all times.
@@20truck well yes most likely. I'm referring to towns that are a lot smaller when I say most towns. I live in North Jersey, and I can tell you that the majority of the towns cannot afford paid firefighters
@@davidbott9401 I understand what you mean about small towns and stuff I live in the town that has to have volunteer fire department, however they are moving towards getting paid firefighters because no one is volunteering anymore. We used to have all volunteer rescue squad and all volunteer fire departments Now if there is an emergency medical call they have to set off the rescue squad multiple times and set off the fire department as well and unfortunately people are dying from the lack of response times. I don't know how old you are but the younger generation now doesn't volunteer the way we did in the '80s and '90s and before then in the '60s and '70s even. So if you want to have fire departments and rescue squad to have reasonable response times in respond to people being sick it's going to have to be a paid service. Our town has already gone to paid rescue squad, and they're moving towards doing paid fire because your homeowner's insurance will pay for fire response. Take care buddy
@20truck yeah, I agree that it's getting a lot harder. And you're right that young people don't want to volunteer the way they used to. Around where I live, more and more towns are going to paid EMS. It also does seem like having paid firefighters is on the horizon. Exactly how and who foots that bill is the elephant in the room, and there probably isn't an easy solution to it.
Hey where was the first due truck at? Oh that right they didn’t get out again. Did we not establish water on the way in again? Wonderful position by that engine in the front… Do we not know how to place ground ladders? Or secure the power to the building? Or have backup hose lines to the floors above? All these asshats standing around but we cant do basic things. But we dont need lines to the other floors, just break the window and push the burning pile out onto whoever is outside. Did we really need to break half the windows on the building? Wonderful job gentlemen we looked like idiots yet again. God Bless NJ hobbyists.

As always…. EXCELLENT!
Thanks & Merry Christmas / Happy New Year!
Great coverage! I used to work in this building. The FBI used to be on the 3rd floor and the US Probation Office was on the 1st floor.
Correct! When I was searching the address I saw FBI
Wow, you worked there.. Amazing

Good Afternoon Fellas, I pray that everybody is ok & got out & that all of ya'll that fought the fire r ok & nobody got hurt

An amazing effort. Mutural aid works and it could have been so much worse. God bess.
Can Job boys why do you have a 4th alarm assignment in the parking lot ? 😂
Because NJ can’t put fires out so they just hit the panic button and hope someone shows up

All that equipment, what was the problem?

Most towns can't afford paid firefighters
