  • This is a direct and powerful force that feels and looks SO fair... Very easy to master and execute. I first published this many moons ago and as it follows on oh-so-nicely from CONTROLLER and PERFECT PAIR, I just had to offer this one too! Excuse the irrelevance and enjoy the sausages x

Any likenesses or similarities with the work or creations of other magicians, creators or artists are purely coincidental. I believe that there is nothing new under the sun… When likeminded artists with similar ambitions attempt to achieve all of the wonderful and amazing things that are possible with a deck of playing cards, obviously similarities will occur and similar problem-solving individuals, will inevitably reach the same conclusions and arrive at the same destinations. It then becomes a matter of who came first?

Gonna be honest Daniel, I haven't been as much into magic for the past several months so I haven't been keeping up with your content but I happened to see this in my feed and watched it on a whim. Seeing this much humor (and color!) in your videos is an awesome change. It really lets your personality shine through.
Also, I just got my uncut sheet of blue rounders framed and put it on the wall. It's one of the coolest things I own right now. Your decks are truly works of art dude.

I love this force. I have never been a huge fan of many forces because a lot of them felt like you're relying on the participant to not be paying attention to what you're doing. this one just feels so fair and I've had people burning my hands while doing this and even my friends who also practice magic can't see it being done. I think I'm going to be adding this to many tricks in the future.

i am usually very skeptical of a. “New” force, I think arrogantly, “What force is going to replace any of the ones I already know?” Now I know the answer.. I love this force and all the options it gives you. Nice work.

The long videos covering much more than "just learning a trick" are IMO of high value. If someone just wants to learn a trick..they are not aspiring to be a magician. Magic is an art.

Daniel Madison, a more natural version is: Have the participant shuffle, Observe the bottom card, Just select the 3 matching cards instead of 4. They “Sausage” select the match! This method eliminates the awkwardness of claiming you stole the 4th card and mysteriously shuffled it back into the deck. Love you, thanks!

    Hi Daniel
First of all, I want to state that I love your videos. You're an excellent card handler and just a crazy number. Your videos alone are a work of art. And yes, the way you explain techniques is also on a special level. Great !
To your sausage force I would like to add the following; If you can pull the cards off the deck on a given number, the best force is by far if you imitate the pull on the (e.g.) number 9, but with the fingers of your left hand (with me it's the left) Remove the card to be forced from below. This is really completely invisible because the movement is the same, the left thumb goes over the deck and apparently pulls the top card off. It works incredibly well, I filmed it at home, a few years ago, and I often use it when performing.
I wish you many more magical moments in your life, as a card and video artist you are in a class of your own.
Warm greetings from Lucerne / CH
    André

    I would
    1. Look at the bottom card (say 7S)
    2. Take out the other 3 7s (wouldn't show the faces)
    3. Cop the 7S and let the spectator shuffle the deck
    4. Replace the 7S
    5. Do the sausage control (by them calling stop)
    6. Reveal the 7S
    7. Reveal the other 7s
The idea of showing 4 cards at the beginning of the trick and ending with 3 +1, is not that bad, but it looks a bit weard, no? Except if it was an extra effect, of course...
Anyway, I love this trick and I will perform it. (but first practice)

  • @jschiek8054
    @jschiek8054 2 роки тому

Fank for saying something about that ugly “spectator” terminology. You put it really well, that it breaks down engagement in what is, really, a participatory event. It reduces an effect to mere spectacle, and viewership to passive, clinical detachment. I stopped using it after seeing a card trick tutorial from what must have been a 12 year old kid who was tossing it out there every other sentence or so. Going back over my own notes, I realized I had been using it every bit as much, and it really made me self conscious of it. “Facilitate” and “utilize” are a couple of others I’ve stricken from my active vocabulary, particularly where the more simple and direct “do” or “use,” respectively, are much closer to what I really mean, anyway. “Participant” doesn’t do anything to reduce syllables, but it amplifies the meaning and the relationship between magician and audience by a significant degree.

I actually do something like this force for some time. The way I like to "get rid" of the card, to escape the double lift is to go a card too far. So for example if the spectator would call out the number 9 I would deal down ten cards and act like "Ohh you said 9 right?" and put the top card back. Or if the spectator says stop, just deal down one more card, after he said stop and ask him if he wants to go one card back or stay there and usually they want to go one back because that's the one they have stopped on. Like this, it can even be more powerful. And if he wants to stay you are still able to use the techniques Daniel showed. Hope you like the idea. Peace

The sausage force is going to get a workout. It looks like it will become one of the strongest forces ever.
There are so many methods of forcing a card but practically most are limited. 😢
There are so many uses to get out of the sausage force which can be used in many varieties of effects.

you could do something similar to 'controller' as a way to to get into the force, by openly spreading out the cards and peaking at the 2nd from the top card, because the force card would end up as the 2nd card that's dealt to your hand, you could biddle steal the 2nd card as you deal the 3rd and replace it when they call stop and continue as normal.
