That visual of the card sitting in the hand while a deck is shuffled by my son. He then chooses a card, placing it on mine and I go through the reveal steps was breathtaking. There was joy in his face and a happiness in my heart. I showed him the deception and he asked to have me do it again. My toughest critic said "clean and unbelievable!" Now to practice more. Ty Daniel for sharing the love of deception which brings the magic... If just for a moment to those around us!

Magicians are very sensitive, LOVING souls. Some of the BEST qualities of a magician is their ability to be a natural empath and always working with the ONE thing I always advise and raised my kids with for life advice, "ALWAYS know your audience 😔".
And you Daniel, are EXTRA special 😁, you embody kindness and receptivity and you crack me tf 🆙😄😝🙌❗
I am learning a TON and haven't even started practicing yet! I enjoy you too much to turn away lol 😜. ThanQ 👍!!

I agree wholeheartedly with the idea of performing magic with a mundane setting and handling. My favorite tricks are those with little visible moves, not much flair, and the miracle is still there. Tricks visually pure enough to leave almost no room for backtracking. Let them underestimate you.

You can also take a single card first and leave the duplicate. Then when handing off the deck, palm the matching card and you are in the position shown in the video.
This can, in some situations be very clean since people can check out your prediction/pass it around so everyone can take a look.

I’m a little old school, but it’s only natural considering my age. lol
60 years ago gimmicks were more in style than sleight of hand. With this in mind my first thought was a very small piece of wax applied to opposite ends on the back of both matched cards. Lightly press one end of the cards together giving you a thick card. One which is easily located without looking while thumbing through the cards.
You Explain, “ I won’t look at the card I select and you won’t look at yours. We’ll find out together what are mystery cards are.” You remove your card from the deck and hand them the deck so that they can do the same.
At this point you are holding your pair of matching cards as one which are barely held together on one end with wax. Your cards laying face down on one of your open hands while the spectator places their card face down on the other. Fairly showing two cards.
The selection is now placed under your cards building a stack. Cut the top card off and move to the bottom of the stack. Lightly squeeze the opposite end of the packet temporarily sticking the odd card behind one of your matching cards. Now freely expose the matching cards.
If you want you could cop the odd card off but regardless you’ll be left with wax residue on your cards. Not an ideal situation but still a fooler.
Thank you for your videos, you not only gifted but creative. I ran a magic shop in Central Illinois for over 30 years and I love creative thinking.
    Thank you again,
    Wes

A simpler /cleaner way to ditch the chosen card is to have them select it by spreading the cards onto the table in a messy pile. They choose a random card from the mess and place it on top of your two pairs as Madison explains. Reveal the two “perfect pairs” by placing them face up onto the messy pile with the actual selection face down behind them. Voila! You are left clean and sausage free!
*more detailed explanation* To reveal the pair, first roll the bottom card to the top face up, square the cards and roll the bottom card up again to reveal both pairs on top. Now just plop all 3 cards down onto the messy pile of cards. You are ✅
