I've got a similar design paddle and it also glitches occasionally when facing the wrong way. I don't know why it wasn't designed so the controller lays flat across the top so the tracking lights can be seen by the headset no matter what way around you have the paddle.
As soon as you start play faster and try to do some spins this thing loses tracking. Doesn't recommend if you play above 1400 rating, you would be disappointed!
It uses AI Tracking, it only needs to see it now and then, unlike the Quest 2. But at some point of not seeing the IR Emitters it will have issues tracking where the controller might be offset from where it really is.
Can you make a video about facial interfaces with vents? I just bought a bobo m3 pro because I didn’t think I needed a fan and now my eyes are getting really hot whenever I use my quest 3. I’m really considering getting a facial interface with a vent, but I don’t know which one.
Hi Jay, Meta improved the tracking several updates ago with a predictive algorithm. Recall the demo where they had someone lifting their arms above their head to show imoproved tracking? BTW, I've used little pieces of abrasive (non-slip) tape on my gaming mouse, keyboard, etc to know where I need to keep my fingers in low light conditions. Something like this would work if you placed a small square of tape on the square spot on the paddle where your index finger would rest.
Yes, tracking works fine even without light, in fact it was already quite good on quest 2 at version 55 or something. I'm also impressed how quest 3 can track hands, even when using phone flashlight it tracks fine, but not good enough to play Angry birds. At the moment of release it shakes so bird flies away. But enough for general navigation in menus and Cubism.
Cant believe its been over 6 months since release. But it puts smile on my face when something still impresses u after such time, just like the tracking did :)

Been using this grip for 11TT for several months, never had any tracking issues. Highly recommend!
must be using the same black magic that Iron Man VR did on PSVR
Thinking similar although that still has visual occlusion but works with the other sensors in the move controllers

Over 1400, use SolidSlime or print your own. I ended up buying a printer.
