In the last game broodlords would of been the answer. Serral however probally expected ghost mech which is super good on that map for countering broodlords
In the 1st game, why did Serral pull his defensive roaches away from his main? Neither did he have any spores, nor spotting ovis next to his main (same in the other games btw)! This allowed Clem to kill his main + nat without any punishment, despite it being an obvious target (he dropped several times at the same location before). And in the last game he constantly let his vipers get killed or EMP'd without a single spell cast - that was so hard to watch :(
Yeah, clem is probably the one terran that can beat serral like this. I remember seeing a bo7 where he _crushed_ serral a few months ago. It was like 1 dropped game from clem and it was close. Most the others, he was steamrolling Serral. Wild to think about. I can’t think of anyone else that can make serral seem unable to touch his foe.
@@gardianx5293Clem and Serral are 2-2 in series on the current patch. This was one of Clem's wins, the other was a 4-3 series. Serral's wins were a 3-0 and a 3-2. Clem is the only Terran to have beaten Serral in pro series at all this year
What amazes me is how Maru can take clem down so well but cant hold a candle to serral meanwhile Clem is one of the very few players who can handle Serral. Is this because Clem plays so many powerhouse zerg on the european ladder while koreans seem to favor terran making Maru's TvT top notch?

Do you have a playlist on how to start playing stacraft II on more serious level, progress, what to work on, watch for, what should become second nature to you, mental approach and so on. Like a in-depth level by level streamlined teaching/learning curve. Second of all, since you are still an active starcraft II player, I do not know if you dwelved into Arcade much but would you be able to recommend top 3-4games/mods for each section of co-op, pvp, free for all apart from the built in co-op commander and mutations part? Would much appreciate your point of view on any of these, because most of us who do play are not pro-level, like to watch pro matches but while playing its all for fun and a bit escape of reality, if you catch my drift. :) Keep the good content coming, and cheers :)
I'm sure he meant burrow move - continuously spawning swarms could burrow w\o the upgrade, as it only spawned when burrowed, but couldn't burrow move. Dunno about now, but I think it requires the burrow upgrade, although only accidental swarms typically ever get burrowed. I always thought it would be cool if they continously spawned non-flying locusts when burrowed, but could launch waves of flying locusts when unburrowed. Anyway, I hate them, but they do have a ridiculous amount of dps. Infestors cannot burrow w\o the burrow upgrade, but can burrow move once they have it. I used to always put them on control group while they're chrysalis, so I can burrow them as soon as they pop: otherwise I forget I made them, F2, and derp them to their deaths.

Wait, someone beat Serral? It's so rare, that when it happens, you just don't know what to feel. Is this real, how can it be? What is going on in the world?
Well, one thing that's going on is that pro-level, late-game Terran is OP. In the case of TvZ, Zerg's only decent, mobile anti-air comes from spellcasters, which just fizzle and pop due to EMP and Snipe unless the Zerg has significantly higher APM and can multi-prong hard enough to overwhelm. Hopefully, the upcoming patch fixes that, but I can't see how. IIRC, the _goal_ was to maintain Ghosts' effectiveness against spellcasters, the Hydra buff seems more like it will delay the onset rather than fix the problem, and I don't recall any meaningful changes to the Corruptor.
@irrelevantfish1978 They claimed the goal was to make people less reliant on mass Disruptors, Ghosts, and Banelings. Disruptors got a direct supply nerf, Vanelings got a damage nerf, and Ghosts got a nerf that doesn't do much to discourage mass Ghosts.
@@KingOfNebbishes What I'm referring to is the snipe nerf. They specifically said in the proposal that they nerfed base damage but gave a hefty bonus against psionic so that it would be less effective against general units but just as effective against spellcasters. IIRC, they used the word "spellcasters" and specifically mentioned Vipers as an example.
I'm surprised more TERRANS don't do those mass doom drops on Z;s main base more frequently.... I always see pro games were ZERG is absolutely trash in defending their main base from AIR attacks
@@KoalicusMarsupialensis But have you seen the games where he wins. He mostly just dismantles the terran, he makes destroying worldclass terrans seem like its a stroll through the park. He seems to know their timings better than they do in those games, his scouting is perfect, not just incredible, it's perfect and doesnt have a single flaw. Clem was just one of the very few who are able to get into his head instead of getting Serral in theirs at least in this series. I truly believe that Serral is just on another level. Doesn't mean he is invincible but his stats do speak for themselves if he wins 90% of his matches on the highest lvl in the world.

I was just pointing out that this video does not mean that zerg is not OP, since given Serral stupid superiority over other players, both terran and protoss, this series could be considered an anomaly. Even if Clem has a "good" percentage in this match up. And honestly, after people insisting in another video how well Clem played this one, i think that in the third and fourth matches, Serral gave up too soon, which is something the finn has done other times, like in the last World Championship. Serral is indeed in another level. He is so superior that after a fashion it gets boring. Imagine the Dream Team of Barcelona 92. The six matches that are played in the Olympics? Nice. For the length of an entire season with that superiority? It would get boring really fast.
Is anyone else really, really, _really_ tired of watching Terran bio? It's getting to the point where Marines' firing and death sounds make me want to grit my teeth, and I don't think I've seen a pro-level TvX series that wasn't at least 90% stimmed bio in months, at least.

zerg is such a weak race in late game. 0 harass options. Cant defend the base from harass either bc liberators with range dont care about spore or queens. Meanwhile planetary fortresses andf radar towers make it impossible to do any harass

I used to always put them on control group while they're chrysalis, so I can burrow them as soon as they pop: otherwise I forget I made them, F2, and derp them to their deaths.

Wait, someone beat Serral? It's so rare, that when it happens, you just don't know what to feel. Is this real, how can it be? What is going on in the world?
Well, one thing that's going on is that pro-level, late-game Terran is OP. In the case of TvZ, Zerg's only decent, mobile anti-air comes from spellcasters, which just fizzle and pop due to EMP and Snipe unless the Zerg has significantly higher APM and can multi-prong hard enough to overwhelm. Hopefully, the upcoming patch fixes that, but I can't see how. IIRC, the _goal_ was to maintain Ghosts' effectiveness against spellcasters, the Hydra buff seems more like it will delay the onset rather than fix the problem, and I don't recall any meaningful changes to the Corruptor.
@irrelevantfish1978 They claimed the goal was to make people less reliant on mass Disruptors, Ghosts, and Banelings. Disruptors got a direct supply nerf, Vanelings got a damage nerf, and Ghosts got a nerf that doesn't do much to discourage mass Ghosts.
@@KingOfNebbishes What I'm referring to is the snipe nerf. They specifically said in the proposal that they nerfed base damage but gave a hefty bonus against psionic so that it would be less effective against general units but just as effective against spellcasters. IIRC, they used the word "spellcasters" and specifically mentioned Vipers as an example.

Game 3 was extremely bad from Serral, it was painful to watch a Zerg trying to do something that only works with the broken Terran race.

@@KoalicusMarsupialensis But have you seen the games where he wins. He mostly just dismantles the terran, he makes destroying worldclass terrans seem like its a stroll through the park. He seems to know their timings better than they do in those games, his scouting is perfect, not just incredible, it's perfect and doesnt have a single flaw. Clem was just one of the very few who are able to get into his head instead of getting Serral in theirs at least in this series. I truly believe that Serral is just on another level. Doesn't mean he is invincible but his stats do speak for themselves if he wins 90% of his matches on the highest lvl in the world.

I was just pointing out that this video does not mean that zerg is not OP, since given Serral stupid superiority over other players, both terran and protoss, this series could be considered an anomaly. Even if Clem has a "good" percentage in this match up.
And honestly, after people insisting in another video how well Clem played this one, i think that in the third and fourth matches, Serral gave up too soon, which is something the finn has done other times, like in the last World Championship.
Serral is indeed in another level. He is so superior that after a fashion it gets boring. Imagine the Dream Team of Barcelona 92.
The six matches that are played in the Olympics? Nice.
For the length of an entire season with that superiority? It would get boring really fast.
Is anyone else really, really, _really_ tired of watching Terran bio? It's getting to the point where Marines' firing and death sounds make me want to grit my teeth, and I don't think I've seen a pro-level TvX series that wasn't at least 90% stimmed bio in months, at least.

The terrans benefit tremendously in terms of resources.
Thanks to MULE, I spend less resources on SCV and only have 1 type of mechanic shield-up, so there is a lot of resource benefit

zerg is such a weak race in late game. 0 harass options. Cant defend the base from harass either bc liberators with range dont care about spore or queens. Meanwhile planetary fortresses andf radar towers make it impossible to do any harass
