Louis was widely known as the best and even the boxing commission regards him as one of the most complete fighters in boxing History. Known to fight ranked #1 & #2 contenders, he held the title for damn near 12 years.
Calling Louis a bum shows your ignorance, Mr. Horton...
I want to start a punching bag manufacturing business. Brand Name : Terrell.....Slogan : "Humility is hardly the name of Muhammad Ali"
Was a historical fight. For both men.
Ali The innovater
Ali we miss you Brother, rest in peace.
Ali spent 30% of his energy dancing
AND intimidating his opponents by flaunting his stamina.
Joe Louis may be calling Ali, "Clay," for any number of reasons, but every time he is asked to rate Ali as a fighter, as in this fight and the first Liston fight, he takes nothing away from the champ. This time it was, "Ali is a great champion and he's proven it tonight." He also didn't agree with Cossell's disparaging comments about Ali's tactics, saying, "I don't know Howard, he can do anything he wants." I love Joe Louis.
22:06-22:18 AFTER THE 5th ROUND….SO NO ONE EVER CAUGHT TERRELL CORNER MAN CHEATING….BY GIVING HIM SOME TYPE OF PILL 💊….. 22:06 - 22:18 PAY ATTENTION TO TERRELL
Yep. Wow.
Esquisito, mágico, de otro planet
Ali beat the Tom out of ernie. Even after Ali beat him the way he did ernie still didn't get what Ali stood for now that's what you call a lost man. The man changed his name went would that bother any one. Most of our people don't know that we have slave masters last names.
Great fight!!!
So he named himself after the guy whose followers ran the African slave trade for centuries and still practice it. Yeah, makes perfect sense.
@@daveconleyportfolio5192 what a dilemma, slave trader or slave owner
Well Ernie weren't smart that's for sure the only boring 60's heavyweight
@@daveconleyportfolio5192 What he choses to name himself is his choice and none of your business. Mind your own business.
That ring commentator was hating on Ali lol

Very clear and clean picture! Was this cleaned up or original? Not sure how old film is transferred to digital. Thanks for the upload!
Good lasting fight

Claro. Lo Mejor Del Mundo,,,..AHORA y En La FUTURA..... Siempre....
Terrell should have been at lest cautioned with threatened points deduction early on for punching around the back of the head and body. The referee was pretty weak
Alan Pollock ...Rabbit punching is still illegal today.
They all wanted to see Ali lose, referees also
Some years after that, Chuck Wepner did him the same, but in this case Muhammad Ali claimed the referee and gave back him the hits.
At one point he has Ali in a headlock and is hitting him over the back while the referee is trying to break them....ridiculous so many hits to the back of the head....Terrell should have been penalized for that.
Yes the ref needed fired on spot. He could t hit Ali until the clinch and the. Behind the head and where ever. Poor sportsmanship. That’s why he got his ass beat for 15 rounds.
ALI IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME
Ali: What's ma name?
World: Muhammad Ali.
The best and more human . But its sport man . Thank. God . Por darnos al mundo estos exemplos de ti. DIOS BENDIGA AT. ALL THE WORLD. FROM MTY. MX.
I highly recommend everyone turn the sound up during the stare down before the first bell. Ali is eating Terrell up in a big way.
Thanks. I did that. Couldn't make it all out, but he was really giving it to him. Not often was Ali angry in the ring.
ali ali ali ali ali ....we all miss ya champ....

@KC Lawrence right
Amazing
Terrel really seems to be a one show grapple pony. He got outboxed and out maneuvered
Also a dirty fighter, I lost count of the rabbit punches he got away with.
What's with Ernie's hitting on the back of Ali's head?
Was thinking the same thing dirty fighter

What’s with Clay pulling Terrell’s head down over and over? What’s with Clay thumbing Terrell’s eye? Talk about a dirty fighter
@@greyghostscsa394 What's up with your calling him Clay? At the time of the fight his name was Muhammad Ali. Terrell refused to call him by his new name. Fifty-five years later it seems you are unaware of that history.
Couldn't hit him anywhere else

I used to feel sorry for Joe Louis, he died broke, he kept calling Ali - Clay, now i dont feel so bad for him
so
@@robertdouglas7101 - he was one of a hand full that continued to call him Clay purposely, the man changed his name long ago, show him the man his respect Louis
It was his name. Ali had enough respect for Louis that he wouldn't have been so sore over it. Old guys like that don't learn your name twice!
@@verrufen2642 Louis was purposely calling him clay, he didnt even try to correct himself, but then again he died broke as a joke so I guess he wasnt that intelligent to begin with.
@@samahmad9836 yeh cool man. Just disrespect the greatest heavyweight champ of all time. Ali called Louis slow, but he never showed as little class as you are. Ali had respect (outside the trash talking) for the old greats. Louis didn't try to correct himself, and so what? If Ali didn't have this problem with him then why should you?
Doesn't get any better Ali whipping some azz with Howard Cossell on the mike.
Terrell didn’t even come close to having the skills Ali had , Alot of low blows and. Rabbit punches
Alki fouled him much worse with a single foul. Damaged Terrell's eye badly, I think Terrell won anyway. Ali throws fast flurries but most punches don't land. He gets credit for 'dancing' and flashy conbinations, I'm lookin at punches landed.
Especially the rabbit punches. They were almost the only punches to the head he landed.
may Allah forgive MUHAMMED ALI and rest his soul in perradius
