Already a ton of hot e-scooters out there, Trouble with an e-scooter is it requires a license and insurance in most places, whereas an e-bike, particularly peddle-assist, doesn’t. E-bike does all an e-scooter will do with less problems and can go places an e-scooter isn’t allowed.
I do part time food delivery on an SH125i. It's a very good platform for delivery, I can't see anywhere to mount a box. I often do 80 miles in a day, the most I've done is 100 miles in a day. The Honda manages 200 miles on a tank, range matters, as does top speed.
One of the problems that affects most electric scooters is that the design never incorporates storage. Long standing brands tend to show panniers and/or top boxes designed with the motorcycle or scooter in mind as well as internal storage as standard. That brings up the other problem: the design. I look at this and think of Zero Motorcycles (and no doubt others that I can't recall offhand) which also goes with the sport bike ethos, as opposed to the commuter bike. These electric motorcycle/scooter companies need to be thinking more Nissan Leaf than Tesla Roadster when it comes to their target audience.
I think you have hit the nail on the head. This bike is over engineered, expensive, low range, zero storage in standard form ( no where to store your helmet even) . Foot board area is too narrow for larger riders. It only ticks one of the 3 F's of form fit and function and that is the first one. It would be useless in a city environment. It might please some boy moped racer for the 10 minutes it lasted on full power. Over 7000 British pounds!!! You will be able to buy a Citroen Ami soon in the UK for 6000 pounds with 4 wheels storage a heater and thats far more suited for the city.
I was really on the edge of buying one of these. It looks sleek, fun, enough power (which all electric ones haven't had since then). But 1,4kwh battery capacity is too low, even for communiting. double that and I am in.
At the 4:44 minute point a still photo shows the driver “storing” his helmet and work folders on the bike.🤔Website shows same photo captioned “World's first modular carbon fibre under seat storage options. Choose one to suit your lifestyle.”
This is very "brave" of them, to me it seems to be a more expensive, less proven version of the NIU scooters that are already sold in all the markets he named (and then some).

$7.5k??? I'll pass! Also, John never asks about range, wonder why...
Yeah, what is the range?
@@williadawilliams 40 miles at full throttle probably
YOU can have two batteries to get longer range.
Right they have so many bikes thats better and cheaper than that piece of trash
At 9K euros starting price, I doubt it will fly.
There's a California e-bike that costs 5k usd and it's much better that that one.
SONDORS Metacycle.
@John Jackson Right. There is no market for this product.
@John Jackson right?!
But for 5k you can buy the SONDORS which should have better quality than the 2k from Amazon.
