Hybrid is the only way to go, no more EVS , and VW please stop wasting Canadian tax payers dollars on the battery plant in St Thomas Ont
EVs are the future. The cost/benefit is on their side. Especially as production ramps and cost drops.
Surprise - you still need batteries.
@@paulc6766 Batteries continue to decline in price and improve in performance.
If you put gas in it, it is an ICE. Hybrids are just ICE with more steps and things that can go wrong. Also far more prone to catching fire, something like 60X more often than a Tesla.

Electric tractors, with no hydro to charge, and solar is not reliable, stupid idea.
You have clearly never been in Rwanda, fuel is even less reliable petrol stations can be out of fuel for days, sometimes weeks. At least the sun shines when it isn't the rain season (and in the rain season you don't work the land).
Great idea from VW!
Farmers don't generally work at night.
In 10 to 15 years the most common place to see a diesel tractor will be in a museum, The tech for the tractors are there. The electric distribution is coming. Possibly via farm electrical coops.
