We love your channel 😀we are so happy for you , Nancy and wavey. You are so lucky to have each other. Your adventures together will be even more exciting. Take care. God bless you all.
I’m always so happy to see a new post from you guys! You are talented and can hold my attention as well as having well thought out content! Maybe this is why you get product offers. Can see your efforts growing!
Thank you so much for making this video. I have it saved to my Great Loop Info Playlist. I will probably watch it 20 more times. 😁 Happy Floating and Safe Journey!
Great video! Glad for you you have found someone to join your life adventure! Will be fun to see your joint adventures. I truly hope you stay filming, really enjoy your content, delivery and belief system. Keep it up!!
A most genuine Q & A I have watched. Great information with an overall message to simply go out and do the trip or adventure. I never anticipated my having to give thought to how to navigate the use of my family's aluminum cuddy cruiser into saltwater. You have recharged the truth of the matter, that to travel by any means or methods requires one to be aware of their surroundings and by boat, weather is a key factor to learn about and respect. A Rag-boater likes the wind, A Stink-Potter prefer the calm seas, but Captains as a whole are wise to heed all the signs and signals, and to never piss off the cook. I suppose I'll be mining for Zincs! A great duo here with the two of you. I'm sure Wavey is working all the angles of your treat giving weaknesses. The More the Merrier (I had no idea this is a movie - 1943).
Great video I think that was well done answering so many questions with what I felt was very good answers. I could fill a page with comments and ideas for boats and the rivers and low budget fun.
I want to thank you for answering my tough questions! You definitely weren’t obligated to… I too enjoy our back and forth even though we probably agree on very little. Good job Brenton I salute you!
I am Happy for you Both and plus all your animals. You invoke the pioneer spirit. Following the steps of the prince of peace will bring you peace and happiness, clearly evident here. I will head up to Michigan next week for some cool air and take in the foliage change along my route. Take care, Tom
We are all happy for you 2. Love the greatest emotion power in the universe. Get the water reverse osmosis and led bacterial cleaner. The diy on the composting toilet is the way to go and not to hard. Nice stuff cool content 😎 ❤
I stayed for all of the boring stuff. I'm so happy for you and Nancy, and your Yamaha. Nancy seems to like Yamahas too. That's a plus. lol Cant wait for the next adventure.
Thank you Brenton, Nancy and Wavey! As you know from my e-mails to you I have many questions. You covered many of them here. I'm happy for you finding someone to share your adventures with. The Shanty Beagle is such an awesome boat perfect for the loop. Fair winds and following seas!
I seldom watch anything more than 30 minutes so consider this a compliment I'm happy to hear that Mrs. will be on the continuation just keep us informed so we know when you star up again
Hi Brenton & Nancy & Wavy, we are very happy for you and hope to find or build a shanty boat too! If you see another deal maybe you can let us know we will drive or fly anywhere to get started living the life y’all are . Your videos inspired us and showed us what can be possible. Take care, Larry & Alma Harrison
Days late and dollars short, but.. does Nancy have a youtube? If not, why not? The clips of her cooking and baking bring my mind back to my childhood monthly baking Saturdays. Also! Please give wavey plenty of boops for me ❤❤😊
Thanks for taking the time to answer questions and sharing your insight.truly appreciate it . Looking forward to your up coming adventures .keep them coming.👍
I really enjoy all the videos. I've been a sailor all my life. I grew up on sailboats crewing for my Dad and older brothers. I crewed on several large racing yachts and became an A.S.A. Certified Instructor. I've owned several sailboats. The last one I owned was an Olson 30. I've always wanted to transit the rivers from my home in Chicago to the Gulf Coast. My eldest brother crewed on a large sailboat owned by a doctor in Chicago and made the trip from Chicago to Florida. Being a sailor one might think shanty boats would not be of interest to me, but interested I am. Sailboats aren't the perfect vessels for river trips like the loop. My Olson 30 drew 5' 2" so anchoring like the Beagle Barge is quite enviable from that standpoint as well as bridge clearance which is not even possible due to fixed bridges. So, the shanty boat is the perfect vessel for river cruising. At 73, old bones and time have caught up to me, and barring some devine intervention, my seafaring days may be all in the past now. Watching your adventures has allowed me to enjoy your Great Loop endeavors vicariously. Thanks so much for putting these out. So very cool.
Thanks for sharing the videos on the loop, and I’m glad you found someone to share your passion. With it is a blessing a Big blessing. You asked a few questions on the loop, one was the reason for the long rope behind towing, the dinghy is to absorb the shock on the dinghy or the load. I worked offshore as a mechanic, and they would bring big barges, out there and that was the purpose of the long rope to prevent a shock load, and the other question was the green and red drum flooring for Markers they are called buoy markers. A couple of suggestions few more solar panels, two more batteries to operate and electric motor gas motor for back up (out board)
Congratulations to both of you and thanks for short clip regarding Shanty Sanctuary! If you are in the area give me a heads up and plan to come by for lunch or dinner at my place. I pray the Lord will grow your relationship with each other and with Him over the coming years. You have honored Him, so he will honor you! May the Lord bless your marriage. TS
Heart felt video sir. Best yet. And my wife wants to know a the girly stuff on how yall met. P.s I'm very happy God found you a life partner. We have been married 31 years. Wouldn't trade it for nuttin. Even the hard times
Everybody has different ideas about what they can or cannot live without but I’m like you we can all do with less burdens. I have thought about shower and since my old days of working on boats and in the Coast Guard I too this day take Navy showers it saves water, power and on a cold day it can be very invigorating. But by adding a solar bag and using river water and a small pump it’s quite adequate. Some folks just like to have all the latest gadgets and equipment and then you end up you might as well stay home with your burdens Great episode looking forward for more. Oh got my shirt last week it’s great perfect logo. Now you need to publish your latest music sound track to get us motivated. Y’all have a great week say a little prayer for me I have to start a 44 day round of radiation treatments for prostrate cancer all the more reason to pick up the pace on my build.
Very nice videos and glad you found a partner to share life's adventure's with. What would be the best way to ask you questions about "Shanty Boat" living and travel? Thanks and have a great holiday season!
I wonder if you could find a sandy calm beach and purposely ground yourself aft-first then let the tide go out so you could do lower unit oil changes on dry land. Kind of like careening a sailing ship in the old days.
You have too many boats??!! BLASPHEMY!! Great video. Lots of good information. And 'Welcome' to Nancy! It's such a game changer to not only have someone to share your life and adventures with, but someone who's as passionate as you are about doing them.
No cell service...........who cares..........now I have Nancy to go along with my Bible! Praise the "Ancient of Ages" who brought you both together and thru whose Grace you travel safely under His Watchcare!
It's not a big deal being bored by the coast guard. When you were on a shiny boat you are definitely not two suspect. I brought some yachts and indefinitely get the ones over and get stopped because of what you're running.
@fredtoombs278 Hi Fred, I do still have the Razor. It gets the job done, but it's awful small. Someone with some basic building skills could build one better ans way cheaper. Mine was (is) in rough shape, so it was cheap thankfully
I still think you’re making a mistake starting in fall from NC. You’ll be dragging the boat along the ice by the time you get to the Erie Canal, and even the Hudson freezes over occasionally. Invest in an A/C and start in the Spring, you’ll be headed out of the heat as it warms up. I spent every summer of my youth on the Chesapeake, and while it definitely got warm it never got Florida or Carolinas warm. Also, the shower is a really good plan vs. swimming, especially in the bay. You will learn what Sea Nettles are, O yes, Precious, you will learn.
As far as religion we need to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves is what you are trying to say. As a believer you are a servant is also what you were pointing at. You respect all who are learning same as yourself. Jesus did not come to die for the righteous. He died for the sinner Amen.
I am happy for you that you found someone to share your passion for exploring. You two seem to be a good fit. Both of you are "lucky". Godspeed.
Good to see you videoing again.
Brenton, great catch with Nancy! Looking forward to seeing you two adventure together.
thanks for posting here and not mandating a donation. You are a great resource for the adventurer.
One of your best videos to date, lots of nuggets of info, thank you very much!

Ethanol is alcohol and it pulls moisture out of the air. It's the moisture that can cause corrosion and other issues

Fun and entertaining video with all the silly cut away shots.
Hello. I will keep it short. The boat is on water. Why do you have gutters? Enjoy the episodes. Please keep exploring. Thanks
@@ScottPartain I think the gutters were installed to reduce the roof overhang.

What happened to the video in North Carolina? On
By the way I’m from New Liberia louisiana they use those barge they are used for wireline barges in the bay.
I like Sharing the word also
You look good Brenton. It would seem that married life might agree with you. I know it works for me.
Don't slow down on putting the Word of God on your channel. I really like it.
Hi
I guess the adventures are over and no more video's?
No no...working on videos now ;)
great video like always but please vote early, we need a better economy, close border and simply common sense
Put a 200 hp on it. Get up on plane and get somewhere when you want to
And burn through all the fuel in a couple hours?
@backwatersandbackroads sometimes it could be worth it. More efficient once on plane. Just know where the stumps are.

Fishing licenses, you need one for every state you travel through?
It depends on how law abiding you are ;)
Coast Guard Yes, PO PO No
In my experience in coastal waters, they are the same.
